Overhyped Small Room,small beds,no writing desk! Bathroom in reception area has a persistent smell of urine-it's cleaned once a day! Bathroom with no air exchange-misty after a bath. Gym was bad-stuffy + musty smell with one extremely noisy treadmill.

I had a pleasant stay at Protea Hotel Lagos. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making the stay very relaxing. The nightlife band was very entertaining and added great energy to the atmosphere. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend the hotel to others.

The location and proximity to the international airport as well as the Shoprite Shopping Mall nearby makes it an excellent choice for me.

The hotel is well located in the Ikeja area. It's conveniently close to the airport, business areas, and shopping centers. The room was comfortable overall. The breakfast was good (though not so varied). Most of the staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous at all times. I liked the daily provision of coffee, tea, and water.

Some of the furniture is already dated or visibly damaged (like the wardrobe, the wooden frame of the bathroom, the curtain rods). The pillows were too soft for my liking and seemed already very tired. The provision of towels was inconsistent; at times I was having hand towels, other times big body towels only. Something I found really strange is that the side lamp was connected to the spotlights right over the bed, so the purpose of having a warm, indirect light not hitting the eyes was completely defeated.

Staffs were very welcoming.

The flexibility of the kitchen staff and their ability to get breakfast ready at 4am.The staff (except those at the gate) are so nice and helpful.The room and lobby always smelled nice.

The men at the gate were rude and unfriendly.I pre-booked online using booking.com and was supposed to pay in euros on arrival. I ended up paying more than the amount on my booking.The toilet was flooded after using the shower because the glass that stops water from spreading out of the shower area is broken or has been removed.

The manager attended to all my requests. Due to my long stay, she also offered me free dinner tickets for 3 nights. All the staff members were very professional and helpful. I also like the location of the hotel.

Friendly staff, good breakfast and lunch; safe and convenient location, very close to the Ikeja mall and not too far from the international airport. Good wifi.

The lobby doesn't have a large enough lounge area to hang out in if you've checked out and are waiting for an evening flight. The dining room is comfortable but I would've liked somewhere with more sofas and coffee tables. However, the hotel's positive qualities outweigh this drawback. I'll definitely stay here again.

After booking well in advance and double checking my booking the week before arrival, our rooms were still double booked. We arrived at 22h30 and were only able to enter our rooms at 02h00. These rooms were not the rooms we paid for but were the only ones they could manage to provide. The rooms were dirty, and the bedding was damp, not dry at all. Therefore, we had to wait for another hour before receiving proper bedding. The facilties weren't great, the swimming pool was out of order and had no water in, the wifi was really poor and we received no room upgrades until the last day. They were also not willing to refund us for having us staying in cheaper rooms than we paid for. The gym isn't well maintained at all and has a terrible smell. Overall, we did not enjoy our stay. On a positive note, the restaurant and room service staff were very friendly and attentive.

Basic and not a 4 star hotel

The food wasn’t great, also very few options Rooms are not soundproof. Came back to the room on Friday evening to very loud music playing from around the pool area and it didn’t go off till past 10 pm. The TV channels were not clear.

Dated furnishings, not enough towels provided (one each) Bed was horrible. Over priced for nothing. I chose this hotel because it was Bonvoy Marriott.

Very friendly and courteous staff on duty throughout our short stay at the hotel. They go out of their way to ensure that whatever issue is raised has been attended to.

The property is tired. The facilities are outdated for the most part. We feel that there is a need for some reinvestment to take place and for a total revamp of the hotel to accommodate the business traveler.

The property was close to many amenities and the staffs were very very helpful

The rooms needs to be renovated ASAP and I couldn’t sleep all night as water was dripping from the AC vent , the floor boards are all gone

Breakfast was OK but the chef was rude and not friendly but was friendly to the Chinese guys around . Location is very good.
