Krungsri River Hotel

Very good price to return ratio. The hotel furnishings are a little old as previous reviewers have noted but they are clean and functional. The rooms themselves are clean and the location is nice, only a short ride from the night market/city ruins.

Firstly, I was given a room with a strong moldy smell — incredibly strong, in fact.I complained to the reception. At first, they were a bit resistant to changing the room, but eventually they agreed and gave me a different one — clean and without any smell, which I really appreciated.The first room was simply not acceptable. Anyone staying there overnight would have had serious trouble with the intense mold odor. It was really something.

I was first given a room with a strong moldy smell, likely due to poor cleaning or lack of air-conditioner maintenance. Fortunately, the staff changed my room to a clean one — otherwise, I would have had to leave the hotel immediately.Another issue was the gym, which only opens at 12 noon — quite unusual for a hotel. Although they allowed me in earlier, they didn't turn on the lights or air-conditioning. I wasn’t the only guest trying to use it earlier, so it’s likely a common request.

Choose somewhere else.

The staff was very inattentive. No help from the doormen unloading and loading the car. Girl at the front desk didn’t give my daughter’s ID back and acted like she was inconvenienced when we asked for it. Elevators are slow and not air conditioned.

The room was so hot, the air conditioning was not good enough. It’s the good breakfast.

The hotel has a very good location, with many parking spaces. During our stay there were road works but there was not much noise coming from that, however it added on to the walking time towards the centre. Staff were all pleasant and accommodating, the breakfast buffet has a vast array of options to choose from, the hotel also offers evening meals with a menu which has plenty to choose from.

Staff was not friendly and didnt give right information. She said the only thing that could cross to the other side is only taxi, actually we found the bridge to cross the river to another side (just near the hotel)

Breakfast was good. Housekeeping were good. Checking staff could smile a bit more as they seemed very curt.

I could not believe there was not one English Channel.No English breakfast tea. Only coffee or mint tea.we were sitting talking to other travellers and the lights were turned off at 9.00 in the main foyer. I have never experienced this in a hotel.

Location near the old town looked convenient on the map, however could not walk across the river on foot as the huge bridge was only for cars.

Parking space was nice and enough. Breakfast was nice and comfortable. Very clean and comfortable bed. Easy access to historic park and local restraurant.

At first, when i approach to the hotel, infront of the road was under construction. So, my navigation couldn't find a way to the hotel. The main bridge nearby connecting historic park was also under construction, so it was not so easy to find appropriate way to go.

The hotel is on the river with good views over town. There are restaurants nearby at ferry over river, but as they are near ferry and train they are geared to do Thai food to tourists taste so very bland. If you take a tuk tuk over railway lines and up to large round about and once there go left there is a really good Thai place on right, you just ask them to make up dish you want and it is really good but long wait as very busy, the owner drove us back to hotel

The staff were not very welcoming on arrival or at breakfast, so unlike our usual Thai greetings.

The breakfast was over the top.The size of room... view of river with all of the barge activity was outstanding.Excellent shower.The hotel is across the road from the train station and close to 7-11 and delightful Seven Seas restaurant.

There should be a fan in the bathroom and a place to refill water bottles.

Nice hotel for the area, with a great buffet breakfast and car parking included.
