Thongtarin Hotel

Loved the spacious elegant lobby of this old grand hotel. Most hotel rooms have been renovated with new flooring, lighting, flat screen TV and decor. This hotel has a medium size swimming pools to cool off in. The breakfast buffet had many selections. Good location- close to various red and bars. Staff is friendly.

During the annual “Elephant Festival” in November, the hotel is too crowded with guests.

Very good location for farangs, have 7/11 across the street and 3min walk to street with a couple of bars catering towards farangs. Extremely friendly staff. Offered and arranged free transfer to bus station ?

Some rooms are a little outdated but it seems they are renovation some floors now

Location was great for us, Breakfast was nice.

There was a karaoke bar near the hotel that was meant to finish at midnight but was still playing at 02.00.

Breakfast finished at 10 and was being cleared at 9.30

Lovely little stopover night before moving on to somewhere else, lovely big room, big bed, great shower and a nice breakfast.

Be nice to have a safe in the wardrobe,

Good location and only a short walk to restaurants and bars with live music. Plenty of free onsite parking.

The reception staff were disappointing and refused to give my wife an additional room key after leaving ours accidentally in the room. Being close to bars with live music is also a negative due to the music lasting to well after 3:00am.

No bed head frame and Bed is very hard .Air conditioning is broken.

The location is convenient. Staff is helpful but speaks very little english.

Almost everything The weather is hot and the aircon is spotty. The pool is not clean until we told them to, it is over chlorinated and we have children swimming in it. the place is old. the breakfast is not good. There are cockroaches. No extra towels for the pool was asked to use towels from the room. Perhaps in its hayday it was a nice hotel but not now.

This hotel is in a good location. Convenient for food and some good pubs, night life. Staff were nice too.

The hotel is old, the mattress are the old spring cheap type of mattresses, I woke feel very sore all over. Bathroom, Kattle and things in the hotel are old, broken and dirty. I was staying at 11th floor and it has the windows that opened. I was very worry if I sleep walking and tried to jump out. The hotel at this high should not have the window that able to open easily. I have seen many suicidal cases at the hotel before too. Paint peeling, old or broken walls and furniture. Would be nice if they renovate it.
