Friendly owner. Good hospitality. Walking distance to the beach, good value for money.

When we arrived at the rooms, the floor and restrooms were not clean. Definitely forgot to clean up the room. We notified the staff, so they came and cleaned up.

First we received room that was smelly and bathroom needed cleaning and fixing of bath tap. After 2 days they found better room with acceptable cleaness. Property looks modern but better maintenance is needed. Great rooftop with nice flowers.

We were only able to stay one night at Montrose Villas but thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again. The owners were extremely helpful and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It is in a great location as the beach is only a couple of minutes away.

As many mentioned the hotel is only 1 minutes away from the beach. It was always very clean, also the floors outside the rooms. Breakfast is American/European style. The bike is free to rent and the motorbike costed 200 Baht per day. Drinks in the room have the same price as in the store. They really don't take advantage of anyone at all. I like to especially thank Narajarat, she is 71, almost always in the hotel and helps as much as she can. A really really friendly person. She also helped me to learn a few new words. She everyday asked what I'm going to do, or what I did during the day. I'll miss her. When I left the hotel, they helped me to order a taxi a day before, unfortunately the taxi never came and it was very likely that I would miss the bus to Bangkok. On of their staff immediately went home, brought his own car and drove me to the bus station. I was very thankful for that. The following information had no influence on my rating, it's just as information for other visitors: Beach: Normally there is almost nobody on the beach. Within 1 km there are sometime less than 5 people. During new year, quite a lot of Thai people had holidays and also visited that location. Many of them where picnicking on the beach, but there was still enough space for everyone. Noteworthy: At the moment there are no boats, not speed boats, no parasailin, just nothing, sometimes 1-2 kite surfers Massage: Quite close (ca. 5 minutes by foot) there is tiny house at the street where you can get different kind of massages (Thai, Oil, ...).

The following information had no influence on my rating, it's just as information for other visitors: Beach: In general, for the first few days the beach was really amazing. After that the weather/wind somehow changed. The flood/ebb was much stronger and there was much more stuff brought in by the waves. Even during ebb there was less space for lying into the sand. It seems that under some circumstances the beach looses its fairytale appearance, the exact reason I did not fully understand (was neither full moon nor empty moon). There seems to be some oily stuff in the sand, what it exactly is I don't know. It's quite hard to get the oil off yourself, paper helps better than water. I only had this on my feet when I walked barefoot. Restaurants: For me a little bit a disappointment where the restaurants. I visited 7 different restaurants and almost all of theme were just ok. I had the feeling that most of them adapted the food too much for foreigners. I was already a few times in Thailand (in different parts) and for me the food here was the most bland one. It's not bad at all, but it is also not amazing (and normally I really adore their kind of food much more than I love my the food in my home country). Just one example, sometimes restaurants have a dish with rice and pineapple (written more or less like Khao Pad Saparot). Here this dish was just regular rice with some pieces of pineapple. Nothing else, not prepared with any love. I also sometimes had the feeling that the staff in the restaurants try to avoid me. I happened several times that if Thai guest arrived later, that they were served earlier. I'm not sure if this has to do that they fear to speak English, or just don't like Farangs at all.

Great location to the beach and less than a minute walk.few bars and restuarants nearby but not noisy.will stay again

No room safe

The location is quite close to the beach. The price is reasonable when the family size of room taken into account. Staff were friendly. Breakfast is considered the best offer among things offered by the property. If the street leading to the beach is not suffer from improper drainage, the location would not be any issue.
