    Pros +

    • Great staff, amenities and food !!
    • On a beautiful beach next to Lomprayah Pier. Has ocean view, bungalo A2. Nice little village. Great hosts. Stayed 5 nights, though most guests only stay 1 night to catch the morning ferry to the Koh Islands (as will I). A real zen feeling to the place. Glad I found it.
    • This hotel is very nice and the room is super modern. Location is great if you were specifically looking for the loomprayah ferry. Which was our situation so that’s why we booked it. It’s a beautiful spot on the water. However, it’s pretty far from anything else so you are largely confined to eating at their restaurant which is more expensive than other places, but nothing crazy. We ultimately ate there three or four times.

    Cons -

    • Nothing comes to mind. You will need some cash but is a functioning atm in village I used twice, worked fine, allows withdrawals up to 20,000 Bahts.
    • It’s the only hotel around. Unfortunately that’s why it’s very expensive and they kind of abuse their power. It is literally impossible to eat somewhere else as you would need a car or moped for the long distance. Of course they are not offering any cheap transport methods and the breakfast and dinner was good but very expensive because they know you depend on them. So you’re kind of forced to eat at their place.
    • I can’t complain about anything. This is a place that would be wonderful to call home.

Very nice location for a stop when traveling to Koh Tao etc. The beach is beautiful and you are all by yourself. The Bungalows seemed very new and in good condition.

Great Location walking distance to pier But no comfortable for wheelchair or old adult.

Not suitable for old people. No wheelchair service No roof walk way to room Mosquito a lot in rain season

Lovely little place with tasty food and a relaxing atmosphere that provided a restful stopover for us before an early ferry to Koh Tao.

    6CaraPosted on: 6-27-2025

Nice location right by the dock. The food from the restaurant was good, and they helped us rent a scooter.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable and there’s no decor, but you get what you pay for!

Very close to the pier for kho tao, pangan, samuiVery clean

Great location for an overnight stop- especially if taking the lomprayah ferry early morning. Food is good. Rooms clean.

Rooms are a bit spartan for the cost. D

It is a well kept property with great staff. Right next to pier. Would definitely come back if we are in the area.

Clean modern room on waterfront directly next to the Lomprayah Ferry pier. Note the Lomprayah pier is 25 km from the bus station in Chumphon, so if you are travelling on your own you need grab taxi to take you out there. Only stayed overnight to catch early ferry to Koh Samui. Nothing around, have to eat at this hotel, but their menu is okay, and food was good. Had one meal for dinner, was tasty. Room poorly lit. Great shower. Beach is uninspiring.

Was a stopover only. Nice new hotel, just nothing around it, no shops, no restaurants. Lomprayah ferry pier has a kitchen service to buy breakfast prior to boarding the early ferry.

It is a well kept property right next to the ocean. We were late checking in and they returned and gave us are room at midnight. Was so grateful because we had been traveling all day. The room was really nice and clean. I would like to come back and stay longer.

    10KellyPosted on: 2-8-2025

I stayed here twice, once before getting ferry to Koh Toa and then when I came back. The whole place is beautiful, it's a fabulous design and the place feels like home. The owners wife/husband who run the place could not be anymore gracious and welcoming. Very helpful in everything you need. I actually said to him do you ever day no, his reply, always yes. Great location for getting ferry to the islands.

    Nothing!!

Clean, updated, quiet, great room for the price

Beds were hard, not comfortable. I checked reviews, because this seems to be an issue with Thailand hotels in general outside Bangkok. Most said beds were comfortable so I took a chance. They were not. This coming from someone who normally sleeps on a tempurpedic foam mattress at home, so take is as you want. For Asian standards, maybe a little softer than usual. Also, the in-house restaurant was a bit overpriced for what you get. Food was ok.

Gorgeous hotel with amazing location on a private beach. The dining area has lovely ambiance as well and good mix of traditional Thai and western food. Service was great, room was clean with strong air conditioning. An employee drove me to the train station and made a point to stop at 7-Eleven so I had water and snacks for my travel day, the staff is so kind.

Very remote, could have used more suggestions for things to do.

Very very good well run professional hotel on the beach . Well built and well maintained. Wonderful attentive staff ….strong wifi … hot water … very clean rooms . Easily the best I’ve had in Thailand in the rural areas .

    10AmyPosted on: 1-6-2025

The location is remote and basic, but right on the beach.

It’s not close to town, which is on us for not knowing.

    10WilliamPosted on: 12-7-2024

Our bungalow was seaside. The sea was so easy to swim in. The menu at Magic House is more tuan adequate. We like sleepy gems and this was one.

Beautiful grounds and modern building, good food.Super helpful staffNext to ferry pier. Good for one night

    Nothing to do there.
