Pros +
- Kind owner speak English good
- Free kayak rental, gorgeous location, convenient paid laundry service, clean with parking spot right at your unit, great restaurants nearby, lots of nature sounds (birds).
- Absolutely amazing place to stay the villas are so nice and the grounds are so beautiful. Staff are so friendly and accommodating and speak really good English, we wanted to speak an additional night which they helped us with. Breakfast is good with cereal in room and toast jam and fruit in common area. And the drip coffee wow the smell and taste is soooo good I brought some extra to bring home. You get free kayak and bikes to go on which is a must just to explore the area. Love it here. I took mostly videos of the villa so cannot show.
Cons -
- Nothing everything great.
- The location is quite a way out of town, so you will need transport to do/ visit most things , they do provide free bicycles, but as the saying goes you get what you pay for and there was only a single bicycle that I was happy to use as the brakes on all the rest were next to useless. The wet area had no shower curtain so water goes everywhere and the shower head had to be held otherwise it rotated in its holder to face the wall not the person trying to get wet in the shower. The area is also insect paradise and you will have many instant mini friends who want to have a drink of you not with you.And whoever designed the bed needs the prefix 'Bloody Stupid ' as it has a large shin- cracker all the way around on the outside. See pictures, the large wooden base that the smaller mattress sits on.They also won the prize for hardest bed
- Nothing but bring the mosquito spray.

Amazing home cooked meal near by. Enjoyed the kayaking. Very helpful staff. Relaxing stay
Wish I had picked somewhere else to stay

Amazin staff, waited for us. All facilities were available. Location is great. Free light breakfast including toast and coffee. Really amazing experience.
A real hidden gem in Chumphon. Settling in a lovely peaceful area and next to the river. You get to recharge yourself fully. The room is clean and spacious, the staff also helpful and friendly.
Nothing but bring the mosquito spray.
Nice and clean rooms with good amenities. Lovely garden and friendly staff.
Such a peaceful spot to be for a couple days, we really loved staying right on the river in the slow and quiet area and we really enjoyed using their bikes to get around!
I like the peaceful vibe and the calm in the property.
Nothing much, but put in your mind that you are in the middle of jungle, so you should live with some insects flying around outside . Keep your doors closed to avoid geckos disturbing you .
We had a great stay at the beautiful Villa Varich. While it was just a short one and we didn't see much of Chumphon we did use the kayaks provided and massage was great too (you get picked up, the drive to the massage place was fun and you got to see some of the surrounding beautiful area too.The staff was super helpful and recommended restaurants in walking distance other and activities. You get to see and most of all hear the jungle vibes which was a great change to touristic Koh Phangan/Tao and busy Bangkok. The Villaroom that we had was super clean, comfy and had a great garden/river view too
The room said soundproof but definitely wasn't. You get to hear and enjoy the jungle sounds full blast (it was surprising how loud zikadas can be and that the liked to bonk the door). We didn't mind the noise, but you should bring earplugs if you do.Better than paper thin walls and loud neighbours in other places though.
The property is located in lovely rural surroundings only around 5 km from the town center. It is a most relaxing environment. I liked sitting on the deck chair just outside the room watching the river flow past and all kinds of birds. Get the same kind of room as we did. You wont regret it! You will need your own transport (bike/car) to get around from the property. There is no formal breakfast service, but lots of plentiful free food available each dayj local drip coffer, toast, butter, jam, bananas, cerials, milk etc. Higly recommended.
Place was clean and quiet. I didn't see any staff the whole time. Was nice to be alone. Restaurant down the street was all I needed. Great place.
I loved the guy at reception - very informative and friendly. I like the chalet vibes.
Beautiful setting, modern villas helpful staff
Room was good .
A bit out of the way. They Need to stock a few snacks and ice for sale to patrons . Staff good. Booked a snorkeling tour from there. Very efficient operation. Laundry service good.
Very relaxing. accommodation. Chilled. Laid back. The area around Villa Varich is wonderful ~ palm trees, river, coconuts, monkeys
VV needs to indicate on booking forms which villas are standard/which are delux
Daily preground locally grown Robusta coffee pour overs were a gift from heaven, as were the cute tiny bananas & crackers to help start the day. The jungle fowl soothed us to sleep, present and distant enough to remain background, & all staff are like family to us! They also heavily utilize recycling, and the bikes are tip-top for exploring Bang Mak.
Three straight rain days when we’d hoped to canoe, yet that’s Nature’s, not Villa Varich’s, doing! They’re beyond majestic.
Clean bungalows, kind people, very comfy, cool nature, AMAZING COFFEE
It is always a pleasure to have only good things to say about a place. Villa Varich exceeded our expectations. The reception was easy, we were allowed to check in early, the receptionist was gracious and helpful, spoke excellent English and provided us with a nice map and lots of information about the area such as good restaurants and things to do. A HUGE bonus is that they have Kayaks available to use, for FREE! So we stayed an extra day to Kayak the river and it was great fun. Also, bicycles are supplied free! A nearby restaurant with Hug in the name (can't remember the entire name) served the best fruit som tam I've ever had.
