Suriwong Chumphon Hotel

Clean and very spacious room. Huge bed, cozy and everything worked. Slept very well. Nice and close to the train station and night market and everything else in Chumphon. Friendly staff. Decor is tired - it is an old hotel - but if you don’t mind this (like I don’t) it is a nice place to stay.

Very quiet and run down. Unfortunately our toliet seat was broken and the pillows were rock solid. Would stay again though for the money

Very friendly staff, who spoke a little English. // Instant coffee offee is a available in the mornings. // The fan-only rooms (mine was 109 on the ground floor) was only 370 baht (before b.com commission). // I was permitted to keep my bicycle in my room. // And the hotel was in easy walking distance of the train station and several eateries.

The bathroom was very poorly ventilated, resulting in moisture lingering on the floor and walls after having a shower. There were also small flies, mostly in the bathroom. They weren't a nuisance, but it was strange to see maybe 20 of them at any one time. // The absence of a fridge made a difference.

Walkable from train, in the center of town, endless walkable amenities all around. Old school hotel was a fun time capsule!Excellent service at the front desk, water refill in the hallways and luggage storage available.

Out-dated design- this hotel had to be from the 70s or 80s but clean and professional!

Location close to market and mall.

The dark corridors and wall tiles resembled a hospital ward with the doors opening outside the rooms.

Reasonable price, the room was clean and very convenient location and there’s street food nearby and staff are friendly and helpful.

Took a while to book in they could not find booking it was 1am in morning

We always stay here when passing through Chumphon. Location is very good, walking distance from the train station, night markets and shops. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Free coffee and biscuits in the morning and drinking water on every floor is a bonus.

Good location for walking to centre, value for money

Booked a double room, hotel made a mistake and put us in the wrong room. Came up after we were settled in and said that we needed to pay more because it wasn't the correct room.

It was quite outdated & the beds were very uncomfortable

Great location, super close to the train station, coach station and the food markets. Staff were very pleasant.

Could do with modernising slightly but not that important in the grand scheme.

The shower was cold. The room smelled musty. The whole hotel needs to be refurbished

The price and location

Staff didnt speak English making it difficult to request things. They couldn't locate my booking either. There was a key deposit and this was difficult to understand too.The hotel lacked character and had a 'cold' feel.

Fine for a quick stop over, had air con and a fan.

Reception didn't know any numbers for a taxi so we had to go and walk to find one.

authentic Thai vibe

it felt quite old and wasn’t clean in my room. i had brown stains on one of my towels and the AC made no difference to the temperature. i didn’t sleep at all :((
