the dining options weren't great. dinner was buffet only (for foreigners - they let Indians order off the menu, but we were told that wasn't an option...), and breakfast was not very good with limited options.

Breakfast. Room. The campus

Breakfast was good. I wished there was a-la-carte option for dinner. However, the staff was very accommodative and allowed us to be charged only for what we ate at the buffet.

The only room for improvement would be that the exhibits carry a little more explanation.

Superb hotel in a very ancient holy location. The facilities are truly star rated. The staff are well trained and friendly. They love their work and took really good care of us. We asked for packed dinner for our train journey. They went out of the way to prepare a hygenically packed takeaway set that we really enjoyed in the train.

Interesting property. Dinner and breakfast were great. Staff were helpful. Overall very plesant and nice.

Bathrooms can be lot better. Bedsheets and the matress must be much better, they are pretty old. AC can be stronger, it was a basic AC I guess.

Bill settlement, we paid 7931 as advance as charged by booking. Com , but same was not considered and double charged

A bit expensive for the room (villa suite), but the environment and services are worth the price

Beautiful sculptures are there everywhere in the property.

Food was pathetic. Chefs are mostly local but they should be trained properly. They can’t make simple food also properly. Worst part was despite branding themselves as non-violent venture, they do cook and serve meat for foreigners. Room service staff is also quite slow in their work. Same thing has to be repeated at least twice to get get it done

Staff multitask and don't hesitate to do any job. They are always polite and smiling. Awesome massage.

Lunch and dinner wasn't that great

Deserve a great concept. The agraharam has been maintained in its pristine condition. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom facilities were also excellent. The buffet dinner was north Indian style, but they did serve dosas. The breakfast was typical Tamil Nadu and Kerala style. It was all vegetarian and the spice level was just right for us. The owner lives in the property and greets every visitor. We had a chance to talk to him. It’s impressive the work he has done to make this brand new concept possible. The Agraharam brought back back memories of my childhood when I visited my grandparents at their home in Lalgudi near Trichy. By Indian standards, the hotel room rates are one of the highest . But for the experience, I would say that you got them value for your money.We certainly would visit their other two properties for the experience.We were. surprised that the Hindu’s spiritual leader, Sankaracharya had a vacation room here which has been preserved in its pristine condition .

Very good ambience. Nature abundant resort. Best place to stay for Kumbakonam and near by area vist. Nice heritage museum inside resort.

The location and ambience are good

Not worth the price . It was just a room and they are calling it as suite ! Fan was not running and Airconditioner was pathetic ! Mattress sagging and they have put two mattress on one single cot . Not comfortable at all . Their lunch was bad and breakfast spread was good . Being in tamilnadu should serve decent South Indian lunch ! Soup and vada served for lunch were really bad !

Except lunch meals few foods nothing is good Specifically about dinner , taste of food , quality of food , and service in dinner time are very bad not worst, it’s not worth spending money for the food .

Excellent hotel.. great ambience with positive vibes. Courteous staff. Good food but on the expensive side.They were nice enough to serve us hot filter coffee that 3 am. Will surely visit again

Peaceful serene surroundings with good positive vibrations.rural settings well maintained..has a divine aura pervading....very unlike a normal commercial hotel
