I recently stayed at Residency Towers Coimbatore for 2 nights, choosing it based on its long-standing reputation. While the room itself was quite comfortable, my overall experience was deeply disappointing — especially when it came to food hygiene and service quality.During my stay, I ordered room service and was shocked to find a human hair in my meal early into eating. This was an immediate turn-off. I had no choice but to return the food and decided not to order anything else for the remainder of my stay. While the hotel did respond by making multiple calls to apologize — including one from the F&B manager — the damage was already done.To make matters worse, I had also ordered a beer to the room, and the pitcher glass that was delivered with it was filthy and clearly not cleaned. This level of carelessness is completely unacceptable, especially from a hotel that positions itself as a 5-star establishment.Just calling yourself a 5-star hotel is not enough — cleanliness, attention to detail, and consistent service are what truly define the experience. Sadly, my stay did not reflect that standard.

Well for starters my intercom wasnt working on day 1 so there was a guy in my room with a ladder fixing it and it took an hour. Day 2 had more to offer , after a long work day when i come back to my room at 8pm im told my ac isnt gonna work due to some fault and i need to be shifted to another room. I mean what? Frankly not expected from a property which boasts 5 stars. The staff was apologetic and humble thats the only good thing about the property.

Very well maintained property and great staff. They made our whole stay comfortable. The breakfast spread was excellent.

Great breakfast, large rooms, even had automatic curtains. The staff were excellent especially Bridget and the restaurant staff. The food was was delicious and good value for money. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Only 1 room key is given so as a smoker when I went down to the lobby to go outside for a cigarette, I had to wait for one of the reception staff to scan the lift for my floor as the lift will only work with a room key.

Very palatial. Great room service. Comfortable bed and good service. We only stayed one night and arrived late and left early.

Taxi fare in the hotels car to rail station was expensive

Still, my stay at The Residency Hotel in Coimbatore left me reflecting on a subtle yet significant gap.While the hotel successfully delivers comfort and professional service, there is a pronounced tilt towards a predominantly Western style of hospitality. This approach, polished though it may be, overlooks the rich tapestry of local culture, notably absent from the guest experience. Contrasting sharply with places like Bali—where each gesture, from greetings to decor, reflects deep-rooted Indonesian traditions—The Residency Hotel misses an opportunity to showcase Coimbatore's vibrant heritage authentically.Traditional South Indian warmth, distinctive greetings, authentic decor, and immersive cultural touches are absent. By embracing more local elements, the hotel could transform from a comfortable stay into an inspiring cultural encounter, much like the immersive hospitality experiences found elsewhere.

Location, food choices, friendly staff. Special mention to Mr Muthu & Ms Mahalashmi Kumari of The Pavillions restaurant were very helpful and always gave us good seats.

The location was perfect. The facilities in the room were great. The staff also provided facilities for weighing luggage before departure to ensure that excess weight is not reached. Elevarasan (hoping I did not mispell the name) helped me with the luggage.I enjoyed the food at Pavillion. All the staff were amazing: Babu, Chandik, Jayasri, Bridget, Muthu, Shivam, Govind. I must have forgotten the names of other staff members but everyone I came across was very warm-hearted, kind and always helpful.I loved the serenity at the swimming pool and relaxed at the spa. My room was very comfortable and clean. Shivam ensured to always replenish the amenities and was always kind to me. Bridget always greeted me with a smile and ensured my stay was pleasant and as smooth as possible. She even gave me some recommendations of places to visit in my free time. Money exchange was possible and very smooth at the hotel. I loved my stay so much that I ended up extending my stay for 1 whole week! At the restaurant, Babu, Chandik, Jayasri, Muthu always checked on me and made sure I could try all the best dishes before my departure. While I was sick for 2 days, I had the best curd rice and dal at Pavillion! At Krave, Neetu served my friend and me warmly with a very indulging chocolate brownie and cold coffee to calm our sweet tooth!I can only recommend The Residency Towers in Coimbatore and it's gonna be my go-to-stay next time I visit again! A huge thank you to everyone I came across and specially those who were responsible for Room 424 from 20.02.25 - 27.02.25!

Breakfast excellent Staffs excellent Check in check out time not flexible. They strict from 12 to 12. I came early morning around 7 AM. But they did not provide room. They said after 12 only we will give room. Eventhough they arrange my luggages their custody. This is good. We are using wash room and sit sitting room comfortable. I am asking them to provide bath room for fresh up. But they refused. Remaining every thing is fine. They provide us extra bed. This is good for us. I will stay again if they arrange prize little bit reduce. Swimming pool little bit small size. ..

It was our first time in Coimbatore, so we chose from a few five-star hotels in the city. Our decision was based on customer reviews, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel was quite large and had a grand ambiance. The staff did an excellent job, especially Mr. Mukhilan at the restaurant, who went above and beyond to ensure that my 4-year-old daughter had everything she needed. He was incredibly friendly and attentive. The in-room dining service and hotel facilities were top-notch. Highly recommended!

A funny yet frustrating moment occurred at the check-in counter, where two staff members asked for our passports and booking details. When I handed them my passport, they were surprised to see no visa in it. After thoroughly examining the passport, they questioned why I didn’t have a visa to travel to India. Despite informing them that Maldivian nationals do not require a visa for entry, they still called someone to verify. After a long wait, we were finally checked in. It was quite disappointing that the staff at such a prestigious five-star hotel lacked basic knowledge about visa exemptions.

Location could be much better. There is no way you can go for a walk outside the hotel. There is no pavement, a highway overpass is being constructed right on the hotel's doorstep, traffic is manic

Excellent breakfast

We wanted a table on New Years eve. When we enquired a day ago they said Ala carte is available. When we went for dinner, they said that we had to pre book. After an argument they agreed to give us a table. They should inform Hotel Guests of upcoming events.The water in the shower area formed a puddle after a shower. This increases the chances of slipping. The housekeeping and maintenance staff should keep the management informed of such issues and management should rectify. We informed the GM and he ensured it would be set right. However, he did not note the room number. I wonder if it will be set right?

The Residency is a large hotel, with all the facilities that we needed. Several restaurants to choose from, a bar, an outdoor swimming pool and very very comfortable beds. Probably the best linen we have had since arriving in India. However, it also had the feel of a boutique hotel because the staff were so friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We extended our stay by two nights for a much needed rest because we liked it so much. A special mention to the young lady who has just started working in the bar on Floor 1, who really went the extra mile to get things right and also to Bridget, who is the special gem in the hotels crown!! She could not do enough to help us with anything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou to Bridget and all the staff for a much needed lovely mini break.

Hospitality is great and the staffs are incredibly friendly.

For the morning breakfast, especially talking about sausages, felt that they must not be basted in pepper as it may be a bit spicy for the overseas guests.

The staff were joyful and very welcoming.Particular mention to Bridget. The hotel is extremely blessed to have an outstanding individual who’s eye to detail and customer care goes beyond what is required and excepted.I’m involved in the the hospitality industry in the UK and would open her with open arms!!
