Hotel Grand Star, Davangere

Superb location. Just off NH48 but in a lovely part of the city. All kinds of shops and market just outside. Lovely property. Good breakfast spread.

The hotel is a great place to stay. Check In was swift and seamless. The room was neat and comfortable. The bathroom was enough and clean. No issues overall. Like the location, several places nearby to have benne dose. The restaurant gave limited menu options but very tasty breakfast.

The rooms were huge in size, property was clean and service was good.

Balcony were not usable, there were algae in on the floor no chair in balcony and rain water was coming in.

The location was decent and closer to Bengaluru highways. Ample space for car parking. Room size was quite decent and the restaurant was clean and neat. Staffs were very polite.

Cleanliness inside the room was not upto expectation. Bed spreads were not changed and I could see the hairs scattered on the bed sheet and pillows. Asked the house keeping to change all the clothes. The dental kit and shaving kit should have been kept inside the room before the guests come but did not do it. We need to call the housekeeping for each and everything. Toilet area was stinking with urine smell which may possibly due to some leakage somewhere. Stains in the toilet which would be better if it is replaced. Overall room maintenance was very bad.

Breakfast was ordinary. Service was sluggish and communication and responsiveness was mediocre

The check-in was unpleasant because the reception went on insisting that two rooms meant two double beds whereas in the booking protocol, I had indicated three adults and two kids aged 13 and 10. The executive at the reception went on arguing that two rooms meant two large beds and he was not obliged to provide separate sleeping facility for 5 individuals.

Nice property and we'll maintained rooms and staff is very good. Nice place to stay with family. Really liked this place. Now every time i visit here wil be stay here.. my son and wife loves this property.

Just one thing in bathroom. Need to have some changes like paint and lights little more. Rest all good. Just do renovation of bathroom.

Rooms weren't clean (washrooms), rooms need painting.

Great location. Ample parking space. Good restaurant. Decent breakfast for the room price. Ok place to spend one night if you are on the way to somewhere by road. Front desk staff was helpful.

Bed linen was old and faded. Towels were old and rough. Did not smell good too. Folks like security don’t bother to help out or give directions. They walked away without as much as a glance themoment we pulled in to the reception area with our car in rain. Overall very laid back attitude.

Room spacious. Beds cozy and good. Location good. Staff good.

Breakfast was good and standard.

The service was poor. you had to ask for towels and soap . It was not provided automatically. The hotel seemed understaffed.

It is Near to house and good car-parking and ventilation and silent

Expensive and not value of of money , not keeping bath room needs and everything must demand and take and please avoid rooms above kitchen area luckily my room changed

Loaction

This is not fit to be a hotel, it has function hall on the 4th floor and they clean the place in the midnight making big noise by moving the furniture and shouting in the corridor Rooms are not well insulated outside noise is audible.Despite going and talking to the staff about the inconvenience they continued their work till 2am

Location and property was beautiful, excellent.The breakfast was pretty good, and also the room service ie: Dinner, coffee etcThere was one person who was playing many roles of the Bell Boy/Concierge/Housekeeping etc who was really good, the F&B Staff was pretty ok, front office when we checked in was not great, but when we checked out - was good.

It just seemed a bit all there and yet not really too customer centric. Difficult to put a finger. Its like everything you need is there and yet something or the other seems to either not work, or difficult to use or not easily attainable or accessible. Perhaps its in the thought process or attitude somewhere below the surface.

Overall facilities were satisfactory! There is ample parking space in the facility and generally room was clean & spacious. We had 2 rooms for a family of 4 and had spent 1 night at the hotel.But few experiences left us disappointed.

There was loud music from the bar downstairs and despite repeated requests on phone, it wasn't decreased. He had to depart early morning and hence we had retired for the night pretty early. I had to go downstairs and repeatedly plead with the reception and at first he declined stating nothing can be done; finally they agreed to reduce it and with slight reduction we managed to sleep.Also, since the breakfast opened after we were to leave, I had asked them to pack some breakfast for us which they agreed to. But the instructions never got relayed to the kitchen, so in the morning we had to wait another 30 mins while they got it ready.

It is located in a sprawling area and there is ample parking space. The rooms are spacious with a nice balcony. Everything was spick and span.Further they employ women as attendants and support staff which was a nice thing.Good at the restaurant was good too.

I did not have any complaints, only if I have to nitpick a couple of fixtures were malfunctioning.
