The reception staff were welcoming and made us very comfortable. The rooms were clean. I had been with my family. Though a bit over priced, I would recommend this place.

It exceed our expectations. The breakfast spread was very good. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The wash rooms and well maintained. Also the lobby, staff and ambience is great.

We liked the rooms. It is located in a good place and is accessible to all nearby places. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were really spacious. Their breakfast were served in an open hut which is a good experience.

The room did not have two fans. We opted for 2 queen sized bedroom.

You can hear everything that goes on in the corridor inside the room, incl phone notifications, people talkinh, opening their doors, suitcases rolling. It's very disturbing when you want to sleep early. It gets quiet after 10 pm.

Royal Orchid is not a good hotel as the Customer service is not good .

First of all I have booked with you for 2 adults one room but they told that booked for one audult for one room and he unnecessarily charged Rs 4500 more without any break fast though I booked for the free break fast For the payment of Rs 18500 -2 rooms it is not worth & also ordered for 2 Jeera Rice & Dal , where the qty is very small & charged Rs 1100 & food quality worst And from your side simply youe WEBSITE is there but no use & you will not Communicate any thing to customers & finally you want commission from us & hotel also then why sholud I come to you , I can contact directly any hotels & Flights . And there is no access to your Email ID & Proper Phone call service Pl arrange to reverse back the money to the hotel as my booking amount was Rs 14000 with you & Paid Rs 18500 to Hotel Totally I am not happy about your service & Hotel service I do not know where you are located & no help in emergency times !!

Good spread of breakfast, Very courteous staff , ethical and honestI had booked for me and my wife but since my wife was not able to make it due to health issue I checked in alone , they called up and reduced the tariff for single occupancy which I had never expected or bothered as I had booked through booking .com.This shows how ethical the hotel and staff are.ram mohan

Staff were very friendly, the service was generally fast, breakfast buffet was pretty good

Amenities were not great - towels were very old, no tissue paper in the room. The sound proofing wasn't great, we could hear upper floor people moving their furniture/chair constantly during the night time.

The shower area of the bathroom had a reverse slope and water stagnated There may still be many like me who prefer a printed menu card in the rooms!

We stayed here for 2 nights on 2 separate dates with family...wonderful hospitality and very good facilities. Food was good in the restaurant/room service....overall vert satisfied.

I would suggest not to keep the glass water bottle and glass in the side table. In fact, my hand accidently touched the glass and it fell and broke.

Very unprofessional staff and lousy room service. We requested for tissue while having dinner we were served with toilet rolls. Can you believe. The food was very bad we had to order food from outside and eat.

This is my second trip, not stayed anywhere else , so far I liked!!

Main location and good car parking facilities. We chose this place as a one night transit stay during our longer drive towarss Goa. It served our ourpose but nothing much beyond that.

A bunch of young college age kids were there from another group who has been asking for some omelette from the live counter and the staff were outright rude to them. They simply responded saying they were too busy and not really sure how long it would take. Bad staff attitude.

Royal Orchid Shimoga is a hotel that I opt for each time I visit Shimoga. The hotel staff is courteous, and pleasant and offers timely service. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. As this is right at the Shimoga city centre don't expect any views from the room that is probably only negative to point, otherwise, a good option to choose when you visit Shimoga.
