Gwandalan House

The room is clean and comfy. The beddings are clean. The staff are all fantastic.

The towels are old and brownish. The bathroom door is hard to close. The coffee in the room is not free as well as the bottled water.

The staff we're extremely pleasant and helpful. The included breakfast was delicious and they gave you a choice each day. The coffee was some of the best I've ever had.

This family run hotel exceeded my expectations! Hotel built 2019. Rooms were very clean and nice - exactly as in the pictures! Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Restauraunt has good food and good coffee. Highly recommend!

Hotel has no safe. Good thing the housekeeper is the sister of the owner. So I was not worried Restaurant was playing loud music right outside my window at 6am! Small, outdoor-only restaurant has no curtain to keep out heavy rains. Highway is loud.

Friendly staff

The beddings and towels were showing their age.

The staff were all pleasant.

The bathroom and toilet was not thoroughly clean.

Excellent

The breakfast was good and the staff was great. The location made it hard because it was not located near the center of the city.

The location is the only thing I did not like

Great breakfast. It's really nice to have it handmade for you and to eat it in the nice outdoor patio area. Sitting up on the balcony reading is also really relaxing, though be aware the street out front is quite busy and noisy.

Looked like there was only cable TV, which wasn't interesting. And the channel list paper appeared to be incorrect.

The staff were very welcoming, accommodating to the guests’ needs. The rooms were clean, the property felt cozy yet premium and it really set the atmosphere for a relaxing stay in Dipolog.

I wish a laundry facility was available.

Friendly staff. Organised. Like an oasis of tranquility. And very handy to the city.

Well made and designed

Limited parking and lots of clutter out front

Breakfast was nice and customer services was great . Thank you

The parking lot was full and hard to park , needed more spots .

Everything gave off relaxing vibes. The room was very comfortable and the AC was working hard. Philippines weather necessitates that. The bathroom was nice and spacious and the food was really good. Also, they helped bail us out of a tricky situation where we were abandoned by our tricycle driver by coming to pick us up. Overall a fantastic place to stay!

Sometimes the kitchen closes early and there is no notification to the guests that this happens.

The facility is along the highway. There is an airport shuttle available.

The sink was clogged but it was fixed after talking to reception. Water from the shower and sink is somewhat yellowish.

I've stayed here several times. It's probably the nicest place to stay in Dipolog City. The mattress wasn't great but not terrible either. Parking can be an issue, especially if you drive a large vehicle. There is a lot of traffic during morning and evening rush hours and it's very hard to back out into traffic. The breakfast is always enjoyable. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Everything was good, but the price is really high for this kind of hotel. I like the design of the rooms, also the bathroom, polite and kind staff. From booking the price is really higher (+30%) instead to come and book in the reception

The room and garden was acceptable.

The room cleaning was upon request. This was stated in the house rules in the room wall. We did not read it, thinking that it was standard in all hotels. We learned about it on our second day since we asked for a reason why housekeeping was not done. They could have informed us about this policy during check- in.

Standard Filipino breakfast included with choice of meat and style of egg and is prepared very well. Staff is excellent and accommodating. Plenty of TV channels and internet access was available. Property has on-site generator to deal with frequent brown/blackouts which did occur on my stay.

Two things that could use improvements are new bed mattresses as the current ones are extremely firm, and maybe add a shower curtain to prevent the water from splashing into the rest of the bathroom.
