Nice Hotel. We had a room with a beautiful sea view. Very helpful staff.

I have visited Trincomalee many times and I was very impressed and happy with the care and helpfulness of the staff team. Everybody. Special mentions for the manager who let me have a very late check out. Also Kumar, the hotel tuk tuk driver, who was amazing.I highly recommend Liyonaa.

Our deluxe double room at Liyonaa Beach Hotel offered a remarkably clean and comfortable environment, extending to the notably spacious bathroom. The private balcony was a true highlight, providing stunning beachfront views, and the sunrise from our room was simply captivating. We appreciated the provision of fresh linens and towels, along with the convenience of effective AC, a TV, and a kettle with coffee provisions. The bathroom featured a good hot shower. The staff were consistently friendly and responsive to all our needs. Overall, the hotel represents excellent value for money.

While the room was well-maintained, it lacked a sense of spaciousness. A minor drawback was the visible corrosion on the stainless steel bathroom fixtures, including the taps and shower.

I really appreciated the superb service—the staff was always attentive and friendly and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Very clean resort right on the beach. Our room was rather small, but it had a balcony overlooking the beach and a wonderful view of the sea. The staff was attentive and helpful.

Big room that has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Nice view of the beach and you can hear the waves :)

A bit overpriced for what was offered, compared to other hotels we've been to in the area. Breakfast is not included and pretty expensive, too.

Good value, comfortable and location good but not the cleanest beach and food tasty but very slow in arriving.

Great location conveniently located between trincomalee and uppaveli. The view from the room is stunning from the balcony. Good value for money. The staff is very kind and very helpful. Full of excellent tips for local restaurants. They helped us book a trip to pigeon an island which was great as well.

Keep in mind The beach next door is not pleasant since there is so much trash. This is not the fault of Liyonaa, which is spotlessly clean. But hotels in the area really should get together to clean. We went out to pick up some trash one of the days but there is so much we barely made a dent. Also be very careful where you dry your clothes, the towels and my white clothes were stained by the rusty towel bar.

The staffs were helpful and friendly. They made sure the room was decorated for my Mom’s Birthday. They did help with changing the room as my parents had back issue and couldn’t climb the stairs. They were very helpful as my parents were quite old. I really appreciate their help and support during the stay. Although I wasn’t there in person , they were easily accessible and there were no barriers for communication. My Moms birthday was a fulfilment. Overall experience was extremely good. Rooms were clean , spacious with good view as well.

Nothing comes to mind apart from the access via stairs which is indeed reasonable and suitable for youngsters.

Excellent service offered. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. I rebooked the place for extra stay and there were no issues with checking-in. The room was well decorated for my mom’s birthday. I have given an elaborate review for the same hotel with extended stay. Very clean room , spacious and had a great view from the balcony.

I booked the hotel for two nights as I wanted to stay near to the beach and I expected a decent and clean room, which I found there, in fact I like it “ German “ clean .The hotel is located in a quiet road ,restaurants and shops in walking distance in main road.As a female solo traveller I felt absolutely safe ,the manager is very helpful and attentive , also providing driver and was talkative with me .Wifi was very fast and reliable, no power cut during my stay. Wish the rooftop Terrasse would have been more developed with a bar so sitting outside would be possible in future . They offered me a nice upgrade so I extended my stay.

As there was no cupboard in my room could be difficult with two persons to store the stuff . The beach is too dirty .. all hotels should work together and push the local department for professional beach cleaning , education of the people to take care about nature and reduction of plastics otherwise tourism will be useless. In other beach areas dustbins are available and the garbage is collected separately. For this reason I will not spend my time and money again and come back to Uppuvelli.

Great view of the ocean and just steps to the beach, friendly staff, ac works well

The building echoes quite a bit, so if there are loud groups it will be loud in your room. Bring some earplugs. The beachfront is full of plastic and garbage. Appreciate this isn’t to do with the hotel, but recommend all the hotels in this area come together to do a beach clean up with lions club etc.

We booked it as there was a restaurant there. The restaurant was closed. I didn’t t like that we had to pay cash for our room. Our room was not cleaned. We were only there for two nights, that might have been the reason, but we still do like to have a clean room when we get back from exploring.

The staff were great. Very helpful ? they didn't have bicycles when we arrived but soon found us some for the next day.And when we wanted to add days to our stay,they made it happen, even though another booking had come in. They sorted us all out.Thank you for everything

No table , nasty smell from the bathroom, water leaking from the toilet tap

The hotel is located conveniently close to the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The beds are comfortable, the room is spacious and every room has its own AC. We had a memorable stay and definitely will stay again.
