Hotel National Park Kottayam

The room and bathroom were neat and clean.

The staff are indifferent. The gateman does not come forward to help us park or de-caring the luggage. It was a dry day and his interest was only in black sale of liquor. The restaurant was not functioning. TV remote does not work. Someone attends to it after a wait of solid 35 minutes. He brings in another remote, which also does not work! Complementary water can is of just 500 ml. There is no shaving kit or shower cap. Hand and face towels are not there. Handwash is not there. A single small soap and single dental care stuff for two people. Overall quite disappointing and a first-time experience with a star hotel.

The staffs were very understanding and helpful.

Restaurant opens only for lunch and dinner. Would have been better if they served breakfast also. Room did smell a bit. But once we put the air conditioning on , it was fine.

Good facility. But Reception team gave the key and told to go to the floor and find my room my own. Then AC was not working and took around 2 hours to clean and repair. Maybe booking was done through third party app, they don’t give a damn

It’s a decent place

The list doesn’t stop. 1. All night there was sound of furnitures being moved. 2. On asking the reception in the morning about the commotion, she replied in surprise, “did u also hear it. All customers say this. They don’t know where it comes from. “. She goes on to say a great story. Including people hear knocking on doors. 3. The restaurant is closed and that’s the only thing you are told by people from when you park the car. It has all the plot for some good Malayalam director to make a horror movies. Pretty laughable.

Location is the biggest plus point of this property. Hotel staff are polite and helpful. Very clean property. Very good and safe for family. Ample parking space.

Restaurant facility to provide morning breakfast is slowly getting set up.

Super stay we had here and excellent staff. The rooms were so clean and the family could go there and stay without any worry. I recommend this hotel for those who travel to Kottayam. This is just 10 kms from Kottayam Railway station and your easy access to Vagamon, Munnar etc
