Ashoka Inn Chottanikkara

We booked two rooms. It was clean, had good ambience, room/bed size is very good for a 2 adult + 1 kid, bathroom was very clean and spacious, walkable distance to temple.Limited car parking space available.Hot water was available during specific time window clearly mentioned in every room. We used our own towels which is our regular practice.

THE HOTEL STAFF ARRANGED A VERY TASTY BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FROM GOOD RESTAURANT,NEAT AND CLEAN ATMOSPHERE,QUIET FROM VEHICLE HORNS AND OTHER ROAD SOUNDS,VERY NEAR TO THE TEMPLE. IT IS EASY TO GET A TAXI/BUS FROM THE HOTEL.TOTALLY CAN RECOMEND FOR THOSE WHO LIKES TO TRAVEL TO CHOTTANIKKARA TEMPLE DARSHAN

IT CAN'T SAY DISCLIKE BUT IF THER HAVE THEIR OWN RESTAURANT FACILITY WILL BE MUCH BETTER.THER ARE ARRANGING FOOD BUT LITTLE LATE ACCORDING TO THE RUSH IN NEARBY RESTAURANTS, SO WE HAVE TO ORDER FOOD LITTLE EARLIER

Went to check in around 2am but no one around at the counter.Had called many times but no reply. Then after some time the number was switch off.Was waited for more the 30min but dissapointed.

Rooms are clean and walking distance from temple.

Ventilation was not sufficient for the room alloted, and the price seems to be a little high.

Location, staff, cleanliness

Hot water is available only from 4 am to 7am. Also there were technical difficulties thereby there wasn't any hot water available. I had to take multiple trips to the lobby to fix the supply issue.

Breakfast was not provided since Aryas Hotel was nearby.But could have sponsored Complimentary breakfast.

A Good Board which could be seen from outside.

Excellent staff. The owner himself dropped us at temple as it was raining. Really liked that nature.

Bit on a high raised mode. So walking up with old people was a bit a challenge

It is super clean place , good spacious washroom and ample toiletriese. A pair of single sofas n table made dinning easy. A cupboard for clothes added luxury to our stay. The beds were nice n soft. Good amount of light and fan was good. The best part was the location of temple at walking distance which made our stay blessed! The staff was so good n supportive.

Since the room did not have A/C, the window should have been open. A small facility for drinking water, tea and dry snacks could be added advantage.The dustbin could have been checked daily Mention about the temple timings wud help frst timers7

Nothing to complain about

The hotel is close to the temple. The room and bathroom are clean. Staff are courteous and helpful. AC , lift, fan, etc. work.

No in-house restaurant. Not enough and convenient power points. The ideal place to use the kettle does not have a Power Point. The bathroom is bit small. However, it's good value for money.

Best part of this property is its very close to the temple. My parents were able to visit the temple with no hustle. Room was okay but less ventilated. Staff was North Indian but he can fluently speak malayalam! He was good and helped us throughout our stay. Will look forward to have more stays here whenever we visit the temple.

There was cockroaches in bathroom!!

The room was big enough / Parking was Ok. However no A/C or proper ventilation

The room is designed for Airconditioning ...No proper ventilation ...felt Suffocation even in Jan night. Who rated this stay for 3 Star Category ? The rating is totally misguiding.

it was a decent place the room is nice . there is no hot water after a certain time and we dont like the smell of the insect balls they leave in the bathroom. otherwise its pretty decent clean and good! i would recommend for short stay.

the only issue was the pesticide white balls in the room for bugs

Only three North Indian workers are managing the hotel and they are very arrogant and don’t know how to talk to customers. THEY WILL NOT ISSUE RECEIPT UNLESS YOU INFORM THEM 24 HOURS BEFORE YOU VACATE. if you demand the staff will scream at you in such a way that you will run off without talking further.

Great location very near temple. Good value for money

Approach road was very steep, making it difficult for elders to approach the property on foot after darshan temple

The hotel reception is managed by Assam persons very young boys very difficult to communicate

Neat & clean

Mobile charging was not possible as the only one Power socket was not working. Very old worn out towels were provided .Staff need to be proactive & supportive. Didn’t give any support to get taxis.
