Club Palm Bay Hotel

Great ambience and very good value for money. The rooms are spacious, the pool is nice, and beach access is convenient. Kid friendly. The massage centre is a good addition. The best part of our stay was the friendly and helpful staff, especially Mindula who gave excellent service. Highly recommended.

There were a few minor cleanliness issues. Apart from this, the overall experience was pleasant.

The pool was superb, with plenty of space even when it was crowded. Every meal offered a great variety of options, with a good balance of both Western and mostly Sri Lankan dishes. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush greenery, a gorgeous garden, and a stunning lagoon that truly stands out.The kids’ pool was a highlight—super fun and exciting! My little one absolutely loved it and we had such a great time.

The Staff was very nice. From arriving at the Hotel. At the reception Ms. Nethmi, Ms Sheroni and Ms Nimalky were very welcoming and helpful. As well as The FOM Mr. Asanka and Heshi. We would definitely recommend this Place the rooms are spacious and clean.the food was good.

Clean everywhere and bathrooms were lovely.

stray dogs and cats that continued to fight in between guests loungers around the pool area. It left us feeling very nervousThe staff members were nice and polite but struggled to fulfil most basic requests. Food orders arrived after 45 minutes to 1 hour and arrived cold.Alas, the quality of the guests has let the place down. Our mistake for choosing a "clubby" type holiday and not a branded 5 star :((

The all-inclusive package includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.The local residents in my family remarked that the curd (fermented dairy product made from buffalo milk) was the best they’d ever had.The layout of the hotel rooms is great. The pool seemed good and it's very close to the beach. Some staff members were helpful and pleasant, adding to the experience.

Attempts to contact the hotel by phone went unanswered multiple times, making communication frustrating.While breakfast, lunch, and dinner were included, the meals were average at best—not what you’d expect during a festive Christmas period, especially with a full hotel. Sri Lankan hotels in this price range typically offer far superior buffet options. Despite being marketed and priced as a 5-star experience, this felt more like a 4-star (or less).Activities like fishing and boat rides, advertised as included or available at a small fee, were completely unavailable due to various excuses. Even some balls and racquets were unavailable. Adding to the disappointment, the spa closes at 8 PM, which is ridiculous for a hotel of this calibre.Had I been asked about my stay during checkout, I would have gladly shared this feedback directly rather than writing it here. They just took the keys, checked that I had prepaid and said OK. And that was it.

The Buffets never dissapoint, they are always delicious and lots of options! The pool area is maintained very well and kept very clean. The private beach area is also very nice to have especially with young children. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The rooms red floors are very outdated and slippery. My young child fell countless times as they have been overpolished and not safe for anyone really. The bathrooms are in desperate need of an upgrade, the fixtures are lose/bathtub is old and scratched up.

Most of the staff were lovely and helpful.

The dogs. It's unacceptable to have unvacinated dogs around people. It was rather awful and scary how they just crowded around you.Staff need to be trained and resourced. The spa is so under-resourced that it shouldn't exist.

The garden is beautiful and quiet. The young lady at the front desk was very polite.

Even there was no quest at the front desk our check in was very long.There were 6 people at the front desk and our check in took about 25 minutes!

The staff was nice. The large pool area and especially the kids pool area suits family getaways. The lagoon area was clean. Calm surroundings and well maintained gardens.

There was a small issue with the bathroom which needed attention. Even though the bathroom was clean, some insects could come in via the gutters. Water pressure was low.

A bit dated but no real issue

Breakfast, bar snacks and dinner were fine. Buffet style, lots to choose from.

I wish it had beach access, but the beach is over the road.

The room, had to move due to leaking air conditioning and then new room had same problem. Room never cleaned properly, no information in room about resort, no chairs on terrace, so asked for some and they were filthy chairs and had to ask again never had my massage no information given. Staff unhelpful concerning queries about tours or drivers. Harassed twice a day about service at hotel. This is not a five star resort. Food expensive and not particularly good on the restaurant, staff throwing stones at dogs at resort causing cuts and hurting the animals just a general sub standard place to stay, would not recommend.

The staff was amazing! The grounds were beautifully landscaped and maintained. The lagoons were beautiful and no bugs! The restaurant was lovely, clean and had good buffets! Great massage!
