Great location, comfortable room, interesting history captured in the design and use of this historic building. Our plans interfered with taking advantage of the breakfast, so we can’t answer to how that was.Every member of the staff was exemplary.

The location is fantastic, it was just next to Jonker Street. Hence, during the weekend, we could just walk out and shop around the street. The room was exceptionally comfortable, their staff were very polite and accomodating, the amenities were complete, and the best part is their pineapple tarts. They gave out a couple pieces in the evening and it was just a perfect way to wind down while enjoying it with cup of tea.

Nothing in particular. Personally, I felt the room was a bit dark at night due to limited lighting/mellow warm light. However, this didn’t affect our overall experience at Liu Men; it was still a superb stay!

Beautifully designed small boutique hotel at a great location, easy access to attractions and local delicacies. Room is spacious, bed is comfy. Free parking at the premises.

Breakfast was lack of choice and some options are not available. Had to have English breakfast and it wasn’t tasty. No milk alternative for coffee either as I am lactose intolerance and for the entire stay can only have black coffee while at the hotel.

We like the breakfast with the main dishes and buffet, we enjoy it especially the environment is very comfortable.

Gorgeously renovated property right in the heart of the historic district. Impeccably clean, attentive, kind staff, beautiful design aesthetic, thoughtful hospitality, and very comfortable beds. Loved this place!

It was located in an ideal location. It was very bespoke and beautiful with so much attention to detail. The staff were unreal, and so helpful in every possible way. The breakfast was delightful. They had so many wonderful sweet things for her guests to enjoy in the room. We particularly loved the history of the building as well.

Hard not to like everything about the property. We did note that as all the rooms open up to the beautiful small courtyard for meals are served that you could hear the dishes being cleared and set up for the next morning later into the evening. It could bother people if they were trying to sleep and was super light sleepers. Nothing a fan couldn’t help with though.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay! Every little detail in the room made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel has a perfect blend of historic charm and modern infrastructure, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. The check-in process was smooth and pleasant, and the staff's communication and attention to detail truly made a difference. It was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

The location is great. It’s very near the historical city center and the city center, but the location itself is quiet. The staff especially Didi went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

Perfect location to explore the nearby places of interest and access to loads of eateries and shops along Jonker Walk.

Location is just fantastic, 2 mins to Jonker Street and walk 10mins to river and red church. Can park at the back of the hotel for free. The interior design is very unique and has characteristics of the local culture and history and they provide good quality shampoo, shower gel and also snacks and some local can drinks!! I liked the complimentary coffee and tea from the cafe, they tasted good and it’s quite relaxing sitting at the yard , where nice decoration and natural light and also air conditioned. The staff are friendly and always smiled at us.

Breakfast can be better. Shower hot water temperature not stable and it turns to room temperature after about 10mins. It’s not cold given it’s always summer but I would prefer to have hot water.

Everything about this hotel is excellent! We like the colonial decor. The attention to details and customer service is beyond. We appreciate the complimentary goodies/snacks and lots of water as well as nightly cookies. The staff are all welcoming and friendly like Lulu, Ray and the awesome door attendant who helped us. We plan to come back and we have shared about this hotel with all our friends and family members. Thank you for making it very enjoyable for our stay here. Terima Kasih. Great location too.

That it didn’t have a swimming pool; it would be nice to have a small pool we can chill in after a long day walking around town.Like to have more hangers in closet made available, please!The robes - my partner is 6 foot 1 inches tall ( American) the robe didn’t fit him. May want to include XL size for men’s robe in the room.

The overall deco in the room and building is tastefully and beautifully done. There is no carpeting and we like the tiles and wood flooring in the room. The housekeeping did a superb job in cleaning the white tiles in the toilet! No strands of hair or dirt on the floor or wall. The personal touches like home-made pineapple tarts in a nice cling-wrapped bowl every evening. There are wine glasses in the room.

The bidet trigger and hose is a bit stiff. There are not enough hooks in the toilet to hang clothes. It would be nice if they have a standing clothes rail or hooks in the room.

Location: 2min walks from Jonker Walk. It’s definitely for tourist who wants to discover the charms of old Malacca vibes.Building: located inside of ancient colonial building with Peranakan decoration; definitely a must-have boutique hotel to stay.Service: The amenities, the staffs , ample parking areas, the breakfast buffet; everything on top-notches.

Staff, comfort and the interior

We love the breakfast, the entire hotel was so luxurious and private. The rooms had a free mini bar and also bathrooms had fantastic toiletries brand. love all the nice finishing touches that made a big difference, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Hotel is even more beautiful than it looks in photos. Gracious Ray checked us in, as LuLu brought us a welcome drink of fresh juice. Our room faced back parking lot (free for guests, very convenient to find on map) which was very quiet, although even the street-facing rooms would be quiet since hotel is on the outer ring of the Jonker Walk district, and the street was very quiet by dark. Location could not be better - fabulous to be right in the district, able to go back and forth during the very hot day to cool off and refresh in air-conditioned room. Quality toiletries and towels, in-room frig stocked with complimentary drinks and juices. Coffee and tea in room. Mattress was high quality, very comfortable. Nice breakfast buffet including fresh fruit and juices, also menu to order additional hot dishes - a mix of local, Indian, and Western choices. Espresso machine for good coffee drinks. Cafe open until 3pm serving small selection of appetizers, including yummy chicken satay. We highly recommend this lovely hotel.

When checking out we were asked to wait while our room was checked "to see if we left anything behind", although we assumed it likely was because they may have a theft problem - the room has really pretty dishware, silk robes, slippers, etc. which possibly people steal? It took almost 15 minutes, which was a mild annoyance but we get it - if people steal the nice items, then they will not be able to stock rooms with nice things.
