There are many restaurants and eateries close by VREST HOTEL too - directly opposite it were Bai Wei Kopitiam, Miller's Kitchen Restaurant (Western), as well as a 24-hour VWASH LAUNDRY.Nancy's Kitchen (a Peranakan restaurant) was a mere 5-mins walk away, as was CARING PHARMACY, a Japanese restaurant (JOBUSHI IZAKAYA), NATURE VEGGIE (Vegetarian food), and THE KAM CHENG (a pricier Peranakan restaurant near Swan Garden Hotel Melaka).

- The room got few cockroaches. Climb on me when I was sleeping. Few under the bed. Couldnt sleep peacefully

When I arrived at the hotel with my family 4 of us, staff was so polite and good ? but when I reach to my room I really surprised, what I requested in booking was different. I booked family room with town view, that means with window but what I received a small exceeded room with 4 mattress without bed, no window. The room are very small and congested and no ventilation with 4 people's to stay. TV not working and staff came to the room to check but they never knew what to do and the staff left without say anything.I got mad and asked to refund the money back or they changed my room. At last the staff agreed to change rooms. I told them to check the room first before people check in to the hotel room and don't simply give the room without checking the booking information.
The location is precious, in a centre of a busy area. Nice for those wanted to travel nearby bandar hilir.
Room is tight, and few soft touch in the room. If there more soft touch and it would be safe for kids.
The location was good as it is near to many famous places. There were a lot of parking space and it's free. The check out process was smooth.
The check in time was 3pm but the hotel could have be little flexible, we were there at 2.45pm and the receptionist inform check in is sharp at 3pm. If they would have call the house keeping to check whether the room is ready would be great but sadly they didn't. The bathroom flooring was so uncomfortable as you need to wear a slipper to enter if not you can't stand on them for long.
