RC Hotel Melaka

Location smack by the river, very convenient. Strategic for walkabout to Jonker Street and about town. Bed was comfortable and had good TV program options

The balcony was very high, obstructed the river view when seated. Balcony was unappealing. Could also be more clean as there were used slipper in the balcony and hair in the bathroom. Overall it was a good value for money choice

Steel safe inactive, no one knows how to fix this small problem or don't care.Hotel furnished with distasteful furniture in lobby. No furniture in other public areas, wearing a sad/barren look.TV not connected to internet/no YouTube or..Overall- Good, worth the price. Only wish they had a small rstrnt for breakfast.

The location is good and walking distance to Jonkers Street but the lack of a hotel carpark facility is troublesome if you're travelling by car as the neighbourhood has limited street parking and carparks

The reception staff and housekeeping service we received during our entire stay was unpleasant and frustrating. Upon checking in we were presented with a bill that was higher than the price advertised and agreed to when making the booking as there were extra VAT and service charges slapped on. This has never happened to us before when booking with booking.com. The room we got was an Executive Suite Riverview with balcony. Sounded lovely but it was in fact quite disappointing.1. The king size bed only came with 2 pillows and when we requested for 2 more we were initially told that's not possible. When we insisted, we were told extra charges would be incurred. Even after agreeing to the charges, it took half an hour to get extra pillows2. The shower cubicle was not properly insulated so water would flood into the rest of the bathroom rendering it icky, slippery and unsafe3. The balcony wall is high so no riverview unless you stand at the edge and look downOverall, we had a very disappointing experience staying here

Apart from the great location, terrible experien

There is basically no water in the bathroom faucet, and it is impossible to complete the basic needs of taking a shower and washing hair. In the tropical area, I was sweating all day. The price is not cheap. There is no comb. The hygiene is very poor and there is dust everywhere.

Staff was friendly and location is good

Tv was not working.The bathroom n room was not clean. Dusty.Curtain fixture was a mess.

Location is right on the river and very central to most of the attractions. Area is quiet at night so no disrupted sleep. The rooms with a river view are good, it is good to sit out on the balcony and watch the world go past.

Hotel is getting a but jaded now, must have been a great place just after its opening, unfortunately the hotel is showing signs of wear and ingress of damp throughout.

double charged. checked in was hold until 2nd payment received without prior notice. we already there but cannot check in and asked to pay for the stay. dont care about anything else. doesnt try to help. we ask for room with river view but gave us road view instead. had asked them to change the room back to what we ordered. issue on the double charged payment still not solved since they ignored report from booking.

The only advantage is the location.

The minute I stepped into the lobby, I was disappointed. It looked totally different from the pictures shown by the hotel. Not inviting and filled with old items at every corner. If I was staying at a guest house, I wouldn't be so taken aback. The AC started acting up after midnight. No matter how I reset it the temperature and fan mode, I noticed the temperature and fan mode will stop functioning intermittently. It was back to normal in the morning. The room has a strong moldy smell and the bathroom door lock is missing. They provided towels that were worn out with fraying ends. and stained bed linen. As for the rest of my feedback, my pictures shall speak for itself.

The location was fantastic

It was a shame we couldn't get out to the riverfront, but it was very quiet everywhere, which is a shame for them. The bedding was a little old and worn but reasonably clean.

Room No cleaness very dirty including the bed sheet pillow case and the toilet,floor,table and their restoran only open on Friday and Saturday other days not operating, it's difficult for the guest, management must improve the hotel quality. Tq

The location was perfect, right in the city center with an amazing view of the river and close to bars+jonker street. Staff is lovely and very helpful. Beds were big and comfy.

We didn’t love breakfast as there weren’t many options besides toast, nasi lemak, chicken nuggets, springrolls and coffee and tea. It wasn’t expensive though, so it would be exactly what you’d expect for this price.

The location is very central, right in the Melaka River/Walk, close to Jonkers street and restaurants and sights.

The entire place needs a bit of maintenance/upgrade. There’s old furniture I storage all over the place, the walls have smudges and could use a paint job, the elevator had a strong musty odor.

Not worth the price we paid

Wifi broke and promised will be on soon but never happened .Shower are not hot at all , only a little warm pretty much no hot water Towel were smell bad , stained all over the pillow and bed sheet
