Courtyard by Marriott Melaka

Breakfast always the best options with variety of choices. Especially the western / local food choices very good. However the salad section to be improvise with neatly arranged. the best option always the local food section with everyday different type of food served.

The salad section, especially presentation and arrangement need to look into but the sauces all good well presented & Indian cuisine section to provide more choices. especially if have on the spot making roti canai that would be great idea.

The bathroom, water from shower head also rainshower can not turn to high pressure, water will splashing out from bathub, make the bathroom floor all wet.

The lobby looks very grand, and the staff were all friendly and attentive. They greeted us warmly and were always ready to assist whenever we needed help.

The room condition is not up to a 5-star standard, and the breakfast has limited variety. The children’s pool resembles more of a fountain and is too shallow for older kids, such as an 8-year-old, while the adults’ pool is too deep for them. Overall, we were quite disappointed with our stay.

Breakfast was varied, delicious, and well presented.

Checking in took us more than 20 minutes, since although there were four people at the front desk, there were many guests arriving at the same time.The room was very comfortable, but there were drainage problems in the shower. A poor design caused the entire bathroom to get soaked every time you took a shower.

Service and staff were really good

Bathroom was dirty around the bath. You had to shower in the bath, but the bathtub was above the tails and the water couldn't flush away. Result: fungi around the bath-tub. Clearly a construction failure.

Housekeeping didn't provide or top-up coffee or stirring stick for coffee

Rooms large and adjoining, beautiful pool and outdoor area & gym. Most areas kept clean

Didn’t feel special as guests, not much warmth, the check in lady was lovely but others felt more serious vibe . Toilets in lobby were not so well maintained or clean.

Fall in love since we had our first stay few months back. It's definitely one of our top choices to stay since then, hence our return this time. Everything you'd expected off Marriott chains. The process from checking in to checking out is exceptional. Very excellent staff especially front desk and concierge, to many to mention names but kudos and keep up the excellent customer service! The room is as expected quality and comfort, and spacious enough. We had good rest and sound sleep to recover after long trip north.

Nothing really, although the F&B team during breakfast seems bit lacking of staff, especially during peak times. Nothing major really everything still acceptable to us but worth to consider for improvement. We just have to wait or find another options of serving food.. which still ok since they served quite variety of food that cater to different audience and taste. The taste of food seems bit lacking (still acceptable though) as to what we remembered when our first visit of stay... our baseline of taste was the serving teh tarik and the taste of nasi lemak's sambal and fried rice....?. purposedly selecting weekday this time round to see the consistency between weekend and weekday serving. Looking forward to the improvement on our next stay visit.

The bed a little sinking at certain area

Our bathroom was flooded after bathing in the tub. We called maintenance and they told us that it is like that and they can't do anything as they have already highlighted the matter to the management. the floor was wet and we were not comfortable with the situation. It was past midnight too, the Courtyard team got us another room (sort of upgraded us to a higher floor but without the tub) this time and gave us complimentary breakfast. That was a lovely experience to know that although they couldn't solve our issue at that time, they came up with an alternate solution. The staffs are extremely sweet and nice.

The wet and flooded bathroom on the first night was awful Hope the management can fix it. For Marriott standards the lobby looks awful and bare - doesn't give you the look and feel for the stars and the price you pay. Even the drop off has a distance to the lobby - very odd for a upper type hotel.

We stayed there during Hari Raya, the location was perfect as it is located in the central but slightly away from the crazy traffic

It was good but I left something in the room, I called them up to get it back. They said they will check and get back to me but they never did. Waited so long but never got a reply back. Did not pick up when I called back again.

The amenities and facilities are clean. The staff were helpful too

They don't have plant based milk for coffee in the morning. But that is just minor stuff and I am sure they are able to improve in the future

Hotel was nice and new, room and bathroom were nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was a bit of a walk to the main area, so not smack in the middle of everything, but it was an easy walk. Overall it was a nice stay.

The amenities is well equipped. The body shower smell nice. Bed is comfortable.

The cleanliness can be improve. We found hair at the bathroom floor and the floor in the room is not that clean. Please provide a spoon for coffee making instead of a stick.
