The staff, location and heritage of the property. My room was spacious with a lovely balcony. Water pressure and hot water in the modern shower was great.

Unfortunately the rooftop was under renovation so did not get to enjoy its amenities.

Location is great Walking distance to Jonker Street etc

Parking space limited Worried about not getting a space

Great location just few minute walk to popular Jonker street. Hotel overall is nice and blend well with Melaka taste. Cleanness in room & hotel surrounding. Foot pool at roof top additional plus point for late evening.

Room sound proof need improvement every door open & close can be heard. Most of the room does not have windows. During our visit it was some bike gathering in Melaka causing lots of exhaust noise & heavy rain fall causing water over flow inside hotel with disgusting smell lasted the whole evening until next day.

The location in old town close to Resturants and shopping. The property was clean, modern and spacious.

Lovely conversion of an old period house. Friendly staff. Great location.

Unfortunately a number of the facilities were out of action when I stayed there (the gym and roof top terrace / bar). I’m sure would be perfect when everything is operating again.

Very well located, great place to stay to explore Malacca.

We didn’t have a window… a small window would have access to a small internal space, that had almost no air.

    Location is good.

Our room is very noisy, sound proof is bad.Book a king bed, but get a queen bed.No window, no ventilation.

The hotel overall is good and best. Especially the location and it very near the jonker street. Even the environment very cosy and grand. Even the parking provided very limit slot but it very convenient when we leaving coz it skipped the crowded and jammed area. The hotel design very classy and very easy noticed it. It is very worth the money except the 2 bad things I mentioned below

2 bad things have to mentioned :1) morning 10.30am started renovation and the sound very loud. It made us uncomfortable and annoying. Had clarified with the staff there, the rooftop leaked and doing the repairing. We were staying 2nd floor and the sound very close with our room. No sure the renovation when started and when going end. We did not noticed any news abt the renovation news when we made booking. Luckily we booked 1 night.2) we checked out and put luggage to our car. Then we walked to jonker street to take our lunch. Hade to mentioned the hotel front side to jonker street, and back side to parking. So when we back from lunch , we walked in hotel, passed by a staff named Chandra. He stopped us and asked us impolitely is it hotel guest. We answered we just checked out and now we going parking. He did not explained anything why stop us. He looked at us very rude. He only stopped us even a lot ppl passing by at the same time. Very disrespectful.

Good location close to Junker Street, but on a much quieter adjacent street in the old town. Clean, modern boutique hotel with attractive local decor and vibe. Hotel restaurant serves several interesting local dishes.

At the moment, loud jack hammers are going full blast somewhere in the building almost all day. Yes, they apologize and provide earplugs, but don’t expect to rest in your room during the day. Breakfast OK, but not great. Rooms with balconies face quiet, but not particularly romantic, sleepy streets in the back of hotel. Questionable value. Overall though, the hotel offers nice ambiance, good value, and is definitely worth recommending.

We love the nostalgic feel of the hotel and it feels like home. The hotel is also very conveniently located within minutes from everywhere that we planned to go. Room is generally clean and comfortable enough. Hotel also provide all the necessary amenities. The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

The sound proofing of the walls are rather bad. When other guests are walking outside & talking, it gets really annoying as we can hear them very loudly in the room. The bed / mattress is a tad hard - could have been better.

Food at breakfast were hone quickly and not replenished. During my stay, there were two large groups staying there too. They occupy the whole dinning area.

The hotel location is really great for sightseeing. We walked most places. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We really liked the decor. It was modern but like an old building. The garden window from the shower was very nice. The breakfast buffet was great. We borrowed the hotels umbrellas which was handy and the staff were very helpful. We mirrored our phone to get movies on the tv.

For some reason we thought the Balcony room overlooked a small river. It doesn't and the hotel is a few blocks away from the river or canals. We thought we had seen a photo indicating that but we looked back and couldn't find that so its our mistake. Other than that the hotel was great.

Hotel is beautifully decorated with (obviously) Baba Nyoya theme. Room is huge , with 2 king size beds, which is perfect for my family. The toilet is huge too. Reception staff was polite& made our stay comfortable. Location is perfect for tourists, just 1 street away from the famous Jonker Street. Many dining options avail near hotel.

It was raining heavily in Malacca on our 2nd evening, & water dripped from the roof to my bed. We quickly used 1 of the towels to catch the dripping water. Fortunately, nothing serious. We saw there were towels lying around the hotel floor, assuming there were other areas that also face water leakage from the roof.

Just one street away from Jonker Street. Lots of restaurants around. Had a very lovely stay at Baba House. It’s a traditional Baba and Nyonya house with amazing layout and decorations. Very clean and quiet room. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in Melaka.

We had a large room with a great balcony. The bathroom was excellent with lots of hot water. The location was great for exploring Melaka.

Breakfasts and the breakfast room were both disappointing.

Breakfast some of the hot food/items are cold, not warm or hot enough. Resulted cold taste & hard to chew.Staffs were a bit noisy over the kitchen area.

    10Flora J.Posted on: 11-24-2025

Room was nice, beds comfortable, deco was lovely

No window. I thought I had booked a room with a balcony. But I guess I didn't. It was alright though we were only there for 2 nights. Breakfast was fair.
