Staff at the restaurant are very nice with high customer service mind

I called the receptiom to send someone to help with the luggages at the room for the check-out but no one came.

the time of breakfast, no compromise of 10 minutes late, we are on holiday having toast and jam should be no issue. Anyway, staff was excellent it compensates my mood, we had late breakfast around the corner, and it was fantastic.

Good location, friendly staff and great room

This hotel is a real gem. Beautiful rooms, great location and especially extremely friendly staff. The restaurant was outstanding, both for breakfast and dinner, with very good service and excellent food. We strongly recommend it!

Nothing, our stay was really perfect.

The hotel is beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated, preserving its heritage while creating a cozy atmosphere. The staff were attentive and efficient, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The room was also very well designed. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Malacca’s main attractions. If we return to Malacca, we will definitely stay at The Majestic again.

Location was great, very close to the main tourist destinations but away from the jam.

Limited breakfast choice.

This hotel was gorgeous. Everything from the foyer (lobby), the room, the view and the location was perfect. It is located a little outside the main tourist area, but it is only a short and very pleasant river walk away. The staff were exceptional. We actually enjoyed being a little bit away from the main tourist area as it does get very crowded.

Over the weekend, the hotel was very busy, and the staff at breakfast seemed to be struggling to cope with the numbers. Maybe if guests were able to get their own tea and coffee at breakfast that may help.

Everything is perfect, well maintained property, staff are helpful and nice, food is quite good. Location is ideal!

A beautiful historic hotel with lots of character. The breakfasts were delicious and the room was very grand. We had afternoon tea one afternoon spontaneously when we saw someone else having one, don’t miss getting this as it was amazing! The happy hour G&T’s were a perfect pour and it was easy to walk to Chinatown and the Dutch quarter.

For some the 20 minute walk to the centre could be a problem, we enjoyed our walks along the river though.

Super nice and helpful staff. This hotel has lots of cachet with colonial style. Nice small pool with a gym next to it

Wifi was lousy , for a boutique hotel this matter must be addressed. Pls ask your waitering staff not to flick the table cloth while preparing it while there are diners nearby in the restaurant . It's not hygienic .

Absolutely nothing.

We booked for two nights and left after one. This is not worthy of being included in the SLH stable. Ghastly furnishings, paper thin walls so every noise human and otherwise can be heard. Dismal breakfast offering and a sad little pool squeezed awkwardly between the buildings.

Characteristic building with a fast filling bath tub. Staff were friendly.

Breakfast was subpar - one of the worst I have had in a hotel. Rooms had poor sound proofing and when the room above showered, it sounded like construction works in our room. Rooms were small for Malacca standards

Overall service was excellent - front desk, restaurant, spa. Room was clean and bright, breakfast was ala-carte buffet which meant I did not over eat, location was good. Front Desk staff were very helpful

The sound proofing wasn't good - could hear the neighboring rooms flushing and talk also could not hear clearly what the conversations.

Charm; history; friendly, attentive staff.

The room is spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast is great . The location is pretty good. Plenty of parking.

The bathroom is separated from the room by louvre doors so not entirely private. There was loud construction noise on both afternoons which only stopped when we complained to reception, which was frustrating because we asked for a quiet room.

A genuine heritage hotel. Location was perfect. Breakfast was excellent which offeres authentic delicious Peranakan cuisine. The room was very clean, however, the coffee machine was not totally cleaned when we checked in. There were lots of ground coffee inside the machine where capsules are placed.

There was only one socket available in the night table situated between the 2 beds. For two people staying in the room, the one socket was just insufficient. The TV is very old and the only English-speaking channel is AXN that shows 20 or 30-year old movies.
