Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi

Location, breakfast, the staff

There is no notification or announcement to the guest for evening time and keep silent and respect other guest. The room next to me 606 had a party till 3 in the morning, and other room was played with door bell after 10 pm. The hotel management should stress the silent time to its guests! as hotel room is a place for resting, not playing or partying.Additionally, the room was a bit dirty

The location is very near to tourist area. And it has a pool.

The price is abit on the high side. Don’t forget to check the mini bar content when checking in to avoid unnecesary charges.

The room was spacious and clean

There was no hot water.

nice & clean room with suitable amenities. good view from my balcony. acceptable breakfast spread. friendly staffs during check-in. helpful staff (Feri) at the entrance, advising me on where to go and all.

intermittent wifi signal

Nothing much

Restaurant food is not that good. Always not enough food. Can't even fry sunnyside eggs reasonably.

Good locationNice viewReasonably comfortable

No food available after breakfast (theoretically there was, but nothing came when ordered). This is tiresome in non-stop rain.Warm rather than hot water. Unreliable WC.Pleasant staff, but no one seemed to know anything even with Google translate! eg where to post a letter, find a travel agent, how to get to x or y. Not used to foreigners?

Value. Food during breakfastLocation.

No iron provided for the room. Need to pay for iron services. I don’t expect this at 4* hotel. Also the water pressure is low for cold water.. only high pressure when water is hot.

Area was near to Jam Gadang and many foodies.

Not clean. The toilet was very yellowish. And the hotel picture was not the same as described. Aside, the walls is so thin that you can even hear whatever the next room is doing. Very noisy. And we could not sleep the whole night. Regret taking this hotel. However staff is nice there. Have drop a feedback on the cleaniness still no change.

Location was beautiful…

The room not that super clean.Poor lighting

the room clean and tidy. the staff also friendly

the bathroom is leaking and clogged

View and balcony

Room not sound proof. Loud music from lounge can be heard in my room on Level 3

Spacious twinbed room. Manage to get connecting room upon checkin

Bathroom need improvement.

Good location just 500m radius to tourist attraction and local restaurant. Spacious room.

Shower head in room 527 need to change.

Everything was wonderful. I stayed 2 nights. Breakfast wonderful. Just one thing, pls provide iron in the room.

Breakfast is super good. Love it. Keep it up.... Staff is very very friendly. Food is always hot and neat. Drink, fantastic, lots of choices

All good to me, I like everything.

i need extra bedding, the staff was really helpful and ready to help. Although the bed wasn't ready but the staff was politely doing the bedding. The bed so comfy we slept well that night. The hotel was also walking distance to the tourist attraction.

my stay was too short wish to stay one more night just to enjoy the view at night

breakfast buffet had good selection and staff was friendly

The property inside is really old and run down. It needs good amount of renovation to have any even 2* standard.Overpriced for the amenities and the the services. The AC wasn't cooling and we had to change rooms on the 7th floor. The other room was similar.Bathroom tiles were loose with water seeping under. The bathroom fittings are all old, and are the plug sockets.Old flowery carpet and bad beds and old towels. The mini bar is a joke with 2 bottles of local tea and water. We checked out early, even though staff offered to upgrade us for a better room, but we already wasted one night and was not interested in trying.Hotel refunded the unused reservation. That was a relief.Management needs to invest

Location n breakfast

Didn't get the room as booked. The booking is for 2 grand deluxe king rooms and 2 deluxe twin rooms. We arrived at 10.30 pm and I guess they let go our rooms to others. We are not happy with the room arrangement. The furniture is too old and broken. The towels is too thin and the colour is not white anymore. For a 4 star hotel, they should improve.

Location, the view for the room towards the valley, and the staff.

Nothing, but the breakfast is dominated by Minangkabau's cuisine so heavy breakfast which is ok

Great to stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful, and the room was spacious, with very comfortable bedding and all the amenities. The breakfast was good ranging from Indonesian foods to Western. The location is in the middle of town, so easy to go to the centre and local markets. We stayed during Indonesian Independence day so, we could watch some parades and walking about was very pleasant.

nothing to say
