Hotel Brasov

The hotel's location is excellent, not too far from the center. The indoor environment was elegant. The rooms were enough in terms of size and endowment. The breakfast was good and enough diversified,

Rooms were an okay size with lots of storage and counter space. We travelled in a rental car and were able to find street parking in front of the hotel both days/nights we stayed there -- there are only like 4 parking spaces behind the hotel and they were always taken. We used the TPark parking app which made paying for parking very convenient. Breakfast (pancakes, eggs, sausage, veggies, coffee, juice, yogurt, bread) was good and the dining area was cute and clean, if tightly spaced.

I had read previous reviews about the air conditioning being bad and decided to hope for the best. There was AC, but it didn't work like I had hoped. Not sure how the system works but I was overly warm when I went to bed and when I woke up. We weren't in the rooms in the middle of the day, so not sure if they worked better when it was really hot outside. Showers were small.

They come from the future. You open doors with apps. Breakfast is healthy, comfort impeccable.

They are not really a fully functioning hotel. They don't have staff to assist you at all times. They say they will hold your luggage, but there are limitations to this. In essence, they really operate on a business hours schedule. Good luck to you if you need something outside of those hours. For this, I would probably not stay here again.

The hotel is very nice decor in the common spaces. The hotel and room was very clean. The breakfast was really great (scrambled eggs and US pancakes!!). The single bed in our room was surprisingly comfortable- best sleep I had in a while.

The hotel is not super close to the old town section but Ubers are cheap or you can easily park on the street.

I had a trouble with the online checkin/codes trying to get in. Fortunately David was coming out at the same time and helped me navigate the system.

Clean hotel with comfortable beds. Reception was very professional and friendly with guests. The private parking was a big plus.

Clean and well maintained hotel. Great breakfast. Friendly staff : as we arrived in Brasov before noon with the train, we were looking for depositing our luggage prior to the check-in at 14h00. A staff member helped us out and took over our luggage, which was present in our room when we checked in later that day.

My stay at this hotel was excellent. The entire property is spotlessly clean—there’s no trace of detergent or any other odour, which I found remarkable. Although the hotel operates with self-check-in via its app, every staff member I interacted with was courteous and efficient. The rooms are decorated in a tasteful colour palette that clearly shows an attentive eye for design. Breakfast and coffee were perfectly adequate to start the day. Street parking is conveniently available right in front of the hotel; you simply pay via the TPark app, by SMS, or at the nearby meter, and I never had trouble finding a space. I will definitely return to this hotel!

The only minor drawback was the absence of a vending machine in the lobby with bottled water, soft drinks, or light snacks. There is a water dispenser, but the water was cold and tasted a bit stale. Also be aware of Brașov’s parking rules: outside the paid-parking hours you can’t pay via SMS or the TPark app, so you’ll need to either set an alarm for 8 a.m. to pay when enforcement resumes (I don't like waking up at 8 a.m. while on vacation), or find a nearby pay-and-display machine. This inconvenience is caused by city regulations, not by the hotel itself.

Check-in at the bar was simple. (It was so nice to be checked in by a person instead of electronically with a cell phone which so many places are doing these days.) Staff was very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to drop off our luggage before the room was cleaned. They all spoke very good English as well. We loved that an old building was converted into a comfortable and modern pension and restaurant while keeping its old character. Our room was on the top floor with a dormer window. (If you have trouble with uneven stairs this probably isn't the place for you since none of the rooms are on the ground floor.) While the room was not large, it was very comfortable and clean; probably one of the cleanest bathrooms we have had while traveling! The bed was comfortable as well and the A/C on the ceiling kept the room cool and was easy to control. It was quiet at night even with events happening outside during the evening and the ceiling window had shades to block the sun. There was also plenty of room for our luggage under the slanting part of the ceiling. Breakfast was perfect for us. There were several options; we had fried eggs/salad/bread one morning and omelets/pickled veg/bread the next. The coffee was excellent as others have noted. Our water bottles were filled with filtered water each morning at the bar; another nice touch. We each had two cups of americano each morning and there was no extra charge. For those wanting more food (pancakes etc), the extra price is clearly stated on the breakfast menu. Diners can sit in the lovely dining room or outside in the very nice patio. The location itself was also great, just across from the plaza.

The first night, the bottom sheet was too small to tuck in so it was just laid on top of the mattress. Had we noticed before bed, we would have said something. Since we did not, we spent the night getting tangled in the bottom sheet since it bunched up each time we turned. The very friendly housekeeper switched it out the next day for a larger sheet that she was able to tuck so the problem was easily solved. Still, this should not have happened because it was so easy to avoid. In regards to the restaurant; we felt that the prices were high for what we got. As an example, at non-breakfast hours an americano was $5 USD. A glass of wine was half full and still $6 USD/glass; it was good local wine but still a skimpy glass for the price. Even so, we had a great overall experience and we will return but maybe not get beverages or food in the restaurant except for the included breakfast.

Everything, always a pleasure to return here, at Hotel Brasov. The staff is very nice, everything is clean, good breakfast (p.s. the coffee is great, actually my wife said this was the best coffee she had in a while, and she is picky). We have been coming here since 2019 and will continue to do so.

The hotel offers an online check-in which given our late arrival was vital. We were able to register the details prior to arriving, and then open doors, and access the room off a mobile phone. A great system for a 24 hour reception. Check-out worked in a similar way, needing no keys. Breakfast was provided which was appreciated, together with tea and coffee. The hotel is a convenient 10 minute walk from Brasov station along well lit roads.

Although the price is good by British standards, its a bit more than I'd normally pay in Romania, although accept that in cities, prices will be more expensive. Other than that, can't fault the hotel, and will happily stay here again.

During my second stay with the Brasov Hotel I didn't come across any of the hotel staff.They play some loud music during the day Breakfast time is not shown It's very confusing if you don't have a staff member to great you and to communicate with you about breakfast times

For 3 stars its brilliant. Nice room, clean, friendly staff, reasonable breakfast. If you need a decent place to stay in Brașov I belive this is the one.

The breakfast was ok,but I was very confused because I didn't know the timing for breakfast and because of the peak time I was left without breakfast for 1 day.The staff is a bit unfriendly, maybe because of the stress. The cantin is very small, and if everyone comes to breakfast at the same time, you can't have breakfast because of the lack of space. This is the only thing I didn't like

Great location, easy self check-in service, rich and delicious buffet breakfast, spotless cleaning, private parking. Our family had a great stay here and will come back for sure.
