Pros +
- This hotel was perfect for what we needed! A taste of the medieval charm of Braşov right in the centre of the square. If you’re looking for a spacious room with all the basics to base yourself to explore locally, that is full of character then this would be my pick! You can walk out straight onto the square (which was just lovely at Christmas when the market was there). I also liked the festive ambience of Wagner’s Loft for food and drinks.
- Daniel, he was attentive, so helpful and very kind
- Breakfast was excellent with many options.
Cons -
- We didn’t love breakfast, but having stayed at other hotels in the same region, I think it was standard local breakfast fare and not our family’s personal preference. The food was not bad, just not our preference. We had some evening meals in there too which were fantastic!
- The smell. The staff, other than Daniel were cold
- Room could have been cleaner as used towels were in the bathroom and a sick in the room.

The room is nice comfortable and cozy , and location great staff are verry friendly
Coffe is horrible and no other option Bar is open only at 12 pm, noise in the morning
exceptionally well located and the staff was wonderful. the hotel itself is also really interesting with lots of little passageways and corridors to the other rooms. if you’re lucky to have rooms on the upper floors, you’ll be surprised with some wonderful views!
Beds were a bit hard and breakfast could be improved
Great location, lovely room and wonderful restaurant.
It was centrally located in an old building that was elegantly modified for a hotel.
It was difficult to turn on the heating on a cool night.
The location is perfect as our room was on Brasov main square (we even attended a concert from our window!) The room was furnished in an old-fashioned way, but it was fully equipped with everything we needed. We ate at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and we can just highly recommend it!
It would be perfect if there was a parking lot affiliated with the hotel nearby
The location was great but the place is poorly kept old and cheaply furnished Our bed creeked everything we moved and the bathroom smelled of sewage
Our bed made noise everything we moved, the bathroom smells of sewage, the curtain and the blankets are falling apart and decayed
Location
It has no parking or place to unload lounge or a lift of any kind for lounge.
We love the place, it is conveniently located in the old city center, lots of restaurants and shops around. Easy to get ubers from, has a water fountain in front. The staff is very nice too. The rooms are pretty with very cute details (like the lamp having painted leaves or pretty curtains, modern bathrooms. It is a pretty hotel, lots of wood decor. This is the second year we have visited Brasov and have stayed here. Will definitely come back if we revisit.
So charming … we felt like we were in a hotel from diagon alley with all the curving staircases and hidden corners. It was also surprisingly quiet.
Coffee was not good. We didn’t mind the stairs at all but would be hard for those with mobility issues
Everything was excellent during my stay. The hotel is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay.
Great location, beautiful setting.
No elevator, which makes it a bit difficult for people with some movement impairments.
Great location in middle of square; clean and tidy
The rooms are a bit cramped, the beds are very hard, and the breakfast is quite lacking for $17 euro. Breakfast is not worth it
Location on the main square yet quiet interior with mini private balcony to catch some sun. Expansive hotel yet very quaint still. Lights, luggage rack, bedding all well thought out. Super clean shower and bath.
NadaCasa Crown Bad experience so I ran to Casa Wagner! I’m Grateful for a lovely stay at Wagner and finally in Brasov.
Misery
1. Steep stairs2. Awful smell3. Rooms very dark and outdated furniture 4. No really a lobby, old sofas and chair
The best location. Right at the square. Room was spacious also.
It was hot. No aircon or a fan. We just kept the window open, but you could hear the noise from outside. It didnt bother us, but FYI, there were two flights of stairs going to our room.
location, checkin process
bathroom door didn't close all the way, a bit tricky to find hotel restaurant
Centrally located, walkable but dated. Issues with canal odor, too many stairs and no elevator.
Very dated, dirty rugs on hallways, cheap shower curtains that leak water, noisy floors.
