About
Set in 5.5 acres of tropical gardens just one block from Kellys Beach — Bargara’s main swimming beach — Kellys Beach Resort is an eco-certified, family-owned villa resort built for relaxed Queensland holidays. Our 41 self-contained, stand-alone villas give families and couples room to spread out, each with its own kitchen and private space — a genuine home away from home rather than a hotel room. Between beach days, unwind by the pool, enjoy the gardens, or dine at our licensed on-site restaurant, open Tuesday to Sunday for dine-in or takeaway. We also offer communal facilities including a sauna, hot tub, tennis court, games room, BBQ area, kiosk, reception, and function and conference spaces. During school holidays, children can enjoy Movie Nights and Big Games, snorkel hire and boogie board hire. We’re the ideal base for the region’s best experiences: the Mon Repos turtle rookery (nesting and hatching November–March), whale watching in season, and day trips to the Southern Great Barrier Reef at Lady Musgrave and Lady Elliot Island. Family-owned, eco-friendly, and genuinely easy. Take it easy — that’s the motto at Kelly's.

- Location was excellent and rooms were what we expected.
- Close to things
- Amazing staff and food
Cons -
- Unfortunately a shower tap seal failed during an evening shower so we needed to turn off all water to the unit which was inconvenient. Also their were tiny ants coming from the aircon unit in the day which dropped onto the bedding and pillows.
- Cockroaches walking around inside the room, sliding door to the room very hard to move,General cleanliness of the games room and tennis court and surrounding grounds were poorly maintained.Tennis court had to leaf matter over it which made it very slippery causing people to slip over.
- Facilities outdated and not overly clean

Amazing staff and food
Facilities outdated and not overly clean
Very pretty surroundings. Very quaint.
Bathroom tiny. Nowhere to put towel or clothes when using the shower.
Pleasant
The crockery and cutlery in the room were dirty. The parking was hard to get in and out of.The window in the ceiling means the sun shines directly into the face of the person sleeping in the loft and there is no option to cover it.
Beautiful spot
Could use some cosmetic repairs but still clean and comfortable
Check in was easy
This property is very, very run down. For the amount of money we paid to stay here, it felt dirty, unclean, mattresses were very old, and the public areas were all in need of a lot of tlc.
This place would have been gorgeous in its day, but it's a bit tired now. The bungalows are pretty cute and spacious, with a decent loft. We were able to get late check out; staff were very helpful. Kitchens have got everything you need. Good lounge furniture for a family. Not far from main center, an easy walk if you have the time and fitness. Didn't use it but the pool looked great.
Could do with some maintenance, everything seems tired and about to fall apart. Gardens looking untidy, overgrown and dead!
Very close to the beach, the cabin is very spacious, the pool area amazing. The staff are very polite and friendly. The restaurant at the facility is SUPERB! Great quality food, fair prices and awesome service! I highly recomend this place!
There is nothing I didn't like... I am a bit on the OCD side of life... extra cleaning effort could of been put into the shower area. Everything else was great.
The staff were very friendly
It was really expensive for what you got - the rooms are very outdated and in need of an update. Everything is very old - the sliding door did not lock properly. It was over the school holidays so prices are increased by everyone as we know, but we only stayed one night and it would not have been worth to stay longer for the price. Everyone was friendly and staff were working hard - it just really needs updating.
Great location, and pool area was brilliant. Relaxing in the afternoons was great. Possums came to visit us as we cooked on one of the provided electric BBQs, nice quiet stay.
Unfortunately having some wifi issues, so the wifi was unavailable for the duration of our stay. Room and some facilities seeming a bit tired. Set up of the room would have been great for a family, but for 3 adults, the loft section was a bit awkward. Also, not being able to close a curtain or blind to keep the light out of the upstairs sleeping area made for a disrupted sleep. Man on the front desk on Sunday morning was not really able to assist with any enquiries.
So good for families. Lovely atmosphere. Nothing was a problem for the staff. I would definitely recommend Kelly's Beach resort and return myself
Pool and playroom were a bit dirty but I think that was from school holidays and rainfall.
Lovely place to relax with the beach on your doorstep. On site restaurant, games room , tennis court and pool made for great relaxing holiday. Gardens are lovely and lush green. Staff are exceptional and the new owners very accommodating.
Villas need some TLC. Our sliding door was very difficult to open. I also think the bathrooms need a refit as the shower over the bath takes up too much room and we had difficulty getting in and out. Some garden undergrowth needs clearing to discourage the slithering wildlife ( though the possums were cute and friendly)
Cabin was clean and tidy. Had everything we needed. Pool was great and heated.
Lovely spot close to Bargara shopping precinct surrounded by lush gardens. Great pool for both small and large humans including spa and added bonus of walking distance to the beach. On site restaurant available for lunch and dinner with lots of choice. The staff are lovely and very welcoming and willing to assist
Sadly, the resort villas are starting to show their age and need refurbishment

A lot of cockroaches in the cabin and ants running on the kettle , toaster and everywhere, one old fan upstairs dont keep up with heat, as well two air con downstairs, no shampoo or soaps in bathroom, i asked stuff to gave me some they dont know where they can find some, dirty, dead cockroach on the floor, we were offered another cabin , this time was less bugs inside just geckos, deck with nails coming out, my son injured his feet, in the morning 7 am we were welcomed with drilling and noises of tradies fixing office in front of our cabin
The location was good and it was quiet.
The pool was gross, everything was old and run down and not clean.
General vibe and value for money. Good size pool and games area.
Generally the place is a little tired but it is cheap compared to other options. The tennis court appeared to have been out of action for a while, which should have been mentioned in the booking info (we bough tennis rackets etc from Brisbane).
Great place and awesome villa layout with great food and drink. Receptionist was extremely happy and helpful.
