Central Point Motel

The reception was so friendly. The location is very good.The guest's wishes are taken into account very carefully.There is a small pool there, that us great for refreshing.Every thing us there. No wishes remain unfullfilled.

As its name implies, this motel was pretty much in the center of things in Mt. Isa. It was close to the area where the intercity buses stopped and within walking distance of stores and restaurants. The wifi worked very well. There were new staff operating the hotel and they were doing a great job.

I had no problem with this property. They did not offer a breakfast but it was close to restaurants.

Beds clean and fresh. Kitchen clean everything worked well. Staff helpful.

The bathroom shower was mouldy around tiles, old cracked / stained tiles. Scraping and dropping of objects in middle of night from above rooms. Someone smoking and talking outside our room in middle of night. Could smell when trying to sleep. Butt found on table outside as proof. Someone used key to open our door. Lucky we were there at the time. Reported to staff. Was scary as lots of indigenous around area.

It was close to the shopping Center.Also had all the essentials microwave,kettle ,toaster.

Room rates have increased but you are not receiving anything extra for this increase.Rooms are aged but clean and convenient for town access. I make shopping trips to Isa and stay here for convenience only

Wifi wasn’t good, it kept dropping out and for the last to night/ day stay we had to use our hotspot to watch Netflix because wifi wasn’t available. We were there for a week and didn’t get a room service, so had the same linen and also I cleaned the room myself if it needed it .

Very comfortable, neat and tidy and close to shops and places to eat for people with no transport!

Needs a small clothes line rather than use driers when good drying weather, and cold water in fridge on arrival.

I never went swimming but the pool looked fun I liked the very helpful staff, it's situated right on the highway but felt safe and yes the staff were great

I shook out the crumbs from the toaster before I tried using it and 5 live cockroaches came out. Lucky we had our own with us.
