Athena Motel Apartments

Good location, close to the hospital and not too far from shops. Lots of room and comfortable. We stayed a couple of weeks and staff were very helpful.

In the phone call when booking the accommodation, I asked Emily about booking directly and if she could offer a discount if we did so (as advertised by Athena). She declined in an abrupt and unfriendly manner, hence my booking through Booking.com. Perhaps she shouldn't work in customer service. However, when I dealt with the girls on reception checking in and out, they were lovely.

Perfect for an overnight stay. Very clean and tidy rooms with comfortable beds.

Access to the driveway a little tricky if coming from the opposite direction.

parking was a bit tight with our 200 series & another 4wd parked beside us as not much room

I stayed here previously and once again had a great experience. The location in Toowoomba is perfect close to servos, shops and plenty of food options which makes everything so convenient. They also have their own restaurant which is a bonus. The pool was absolutely beautiful and even nicer at night with the lights on. It created such a relaxing atmosphere and made the stay feel extra special. Overall, it was such a nice relaxing stay for the night. I’ll definitely be back again!

The only thing that could have made it even better would be having music playing in the pool area during the day as well not just when the bar/restaurant opens. It would really add to the atmosphere and make the pool vibe even more enjoyable.

Cleanliness is average, breakfast in restaurant by the pool advertised on website, they haven’t done breakfast since Covid and restaurant open for dinner Monday to Thursday only.

beds were comfythere were other peoples items left on the lounge when we arrivedno wifi did ask at reception but said due to upgrades can not help us having small kids this was hard

The location, cleanliness.

Taking pot luck getting a car park. Guests park anywhere. Serious. Vehicles are permitted to reverse into parking spot. Owners of SUV's especially, start their cars and leave them idling for some time, I witnessed one running for nearly 10 minutes. All the time, noxious fumes entering the motel rooms. Cars need to be Nose In parking. The young lady at reception said they cannot enforce nose in parking because some guests find it difficult??

We stayed at the townhouse. It had heaps of space and big beds! It was very clean. It had a washing machine and dryer. Netflix was free!!! It has a personal locked garage and an extra spot outside for parking. A highly recommended accommodation!

Internet and TV was playing up when we arrived. As we arrived late, we couldn't get it checked. Staff fixed it the next day. Could have provided some complimentary washing power. We had to pay for a small sachet ($2). Not a big deal though!

Didn't like...The receptionist was not very pleasant when the booking was in my partner's name and was frustrated even though I showed her the booking confirmation on my phone. Also badge was stolen off our bike and the cameras don't cover that area.

Beautiful room, food was good, great service

Disappointing

It was not clean expecially the bathroom and the bed sheet smelled of dust and one of the bed sheet was torn.

Cockroaches everywhere running on food, on sink, floors, dining.AC functionality fluctuating, sometimes works sometimes it doesn't

Lovely rooms but restsurant was not open on friday or saturday which was dissapointing plus games room and bar closed

The town houses need some updating, fresh paint and oiling if the squeaky doors. The king bed was very uncomfortable
