This is exactly what I expected from a hostel. Cheap accommodations. No extras. Just cheap

Air conditioning would have been welcome. The fan provided was sub standard at best.

Large common area and spotless kitchen / lounge.Plus basic breakfast to get you going :-)

Need a car/ which had. Top bunk had was less than 2ft from the ceiling. Needed to crawl from top step to lie flat . Could not even sit up. Bunk should not be in that part of the room. The other 2 were fine

Really liked that it was a more chilled out vibe but opportunity to socialise and meet people easily with the common areas. Lots of amenities and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Buses aren’t the most frequent which is frustrating but if you plan accordingly it’s not horrendous, although road works caused us to unintentionally miss a bus which meant a long walk back…

Great location, beds were comfy.

Aircon did not work and when we asked the staff they said there was nothing they could do about it and that there were no other rooms available to move us to, so we barely slept. It is also not advertised that the aircon (if it works) only turns on at 9pm.

The room had a industrial fan going all night so couldnt sleep at all with the noise.The bathoom walls were covered in old vomit with mold on it hard to the wall. It has not been cleaned in many months by the look.the pool was dirty.all the doors through the room and common area were very dirty. The water filter was a make shift of 2 broken ones put together. No lights between the car park to common area felt unsafe.

Good location, good communication, quiet aircon amazing.

Rooms need a real makeover, old battered and dated. But basic ok accom.

All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. It was a laid back vibe, and the free breakfast was simple, but great. The room was clean and all amenities were as well.

The location was okay… I could walk to a few restaurants, but there wasn’t a grocery store that was in walking distance.

The room was okay, very basic but ok. The amenities were very good and made up for the poor room.The room is close to the beach ( which we saw dolphins).It has a large kitchen with free breakfast and a pool, table tennis, cinema room. This is excellentClose to Bus service and tourists attractions such as k’gari( bus is cash only)Option to pay for drop off at greyhound bus stops which is very helpful.The fan in our room was clean.

The room was dripping wet… like there was water dripping down the walls and making the furniture wet. The pillows were damp when we checked in.The AC has time limits set by them( which you can’t change) which we thought was odd and probably added to the dampness of the room. AC can be on 5pm-6AMMould on the shower curtainYou take your bedding off, which is absolutely fine by me, but this highlighted the stains all across the bedding and pillows.No extra bathroom minis; shower gel, shampoo that you typically get.

The staff were excellent in helping booking tours, arranging the shuttle for pick up/ drop off to the bus stop. The six person dorm was also spacious. The hostel is convenient only 2 mins from the beach front.

This is more feedback for improvement - I wasn’t shown around on arrival (i noticed other newcomers were) so had to find the facilities on my own or keep asking. Also, there were no waffles left for breakfast despite there being an hour left before breakfast closed. The pool needs to be cleaned of debris/ leaves (i didn’t use for this reason).

Very nice hostel, large, very well kept kitchen including free breafast with waffles. Nice pool, TV, lots of books/DVDs etc. Rooms clean. Staff good, allowed early check in (assuming room free) and very low rate to keep bags whilst visiting Fraser Island.

It's a long way from the centre of Hervey Bay so would be really good if the hostel ran a free shuttle bus to the centre, otherwise it's a 1 hour walk along the beachfront.

Bathrooms are kinda private to the room, thats good. Free games.

No light in our bunk bed. Location was not the best when you don’t have a car. Needed to ask for towels.

Rooms were clean.

Kitchen wasnt always clean and attracted cockroaches.

It actually has so much potential to be good hostel. But there vibes aren’t there by staff or travellers. Maybe we was unlucky

Personally I wouldn't book this hostel again and was honestly glad to leave. We had just come from Noosa Flashpackers, which was amazing, so this felt like the complete opposite, despite having so much potential.There was no vibe at all and the staff seemed disinterested and miserable. The bed was dirty and very uncomfortable, and there were flies in the filtered water.The most concerning part was a major disturbance at around 3:45am. It genuinely sounded like someone next door was being beat up, loud banging and shouting that went on for over 30 minutes. We were actually frightened that something serious had happened and tried calling the hostel, but got no response until around 8am. Should have a atleast someone on site or an emergency contact for if any trouble comes up.

Súper clean and tidy hostel, the best vibes on the common areas. They even offered breakfast! I should really recomend it!
