Grand Mercure Allegra Apartments, Hervey Bay

Staff very helpful and clean close to all dining area .

We where offered a water view but room did not have a water view a bit disappointed as that was what we thought we where paying for .

The swimming pool,

Room not serviced , washing machine broken leaking water,tv not working at all asked for help got no help, everything else was fine,

An incredible stay at this hotel. Andrew and the team were great with communication, and everything was perfectly clean and tidy. The room was incredible, having direct pool access. The room was huge with two big bathrooms and a full kitchen. We had two kids and two adults here and it was perfect. The kids didn't want to leave! Its 5 mins walk to the beach, great restaurants all around, a very central location. The best bit was the HEATED pool; we swam all day and night! We have already re-booked another stay, very highly recommended.

We loved it all, no complaints at all!

Apartment was clean, bright, airy with a lovely balcony. Two bathrooms were a plus. Kitchen for those who choose to prepare meals. Great location, restaurants in walking distance. Enjoyed the quiet with beach view across the street. Tour companies offered free pickups at Allegra. Good value. Highly recommend.

clean, close to beach, friendly staff, easy parking

Spacious apartment, surprisingly warm and sizeable pool, overall cleanliness, excellent security, proximity to eating places, friendly and helpful staff.

The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. The pool area is exceptional - a really beautiful large pool with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas and there is decent gym and a traditional sauna. The block is really well maintained and no noise from the street or other residents.

The venue was well tended. Very clean, the gardens were well looked after. The pool area was great, some tables and chairs as well as sun lounges to relax on. The pool was very nice. We were walking distance from shops and the beach was across the road.

We felt their tourist information could have been a bit better. They didn't have any up to date bus timetables and a local street map would have been great. We did get these from a Tourist Information center on day two.

Location

No tissues in the room. Dirty bin. Cobwebs on balcony. Shower water pressure very low. Rooms are a bit tired. Toilet roll holder broken. Basins slow on draining. Three or four lights not working. Very poor lighting in bathroom. Overpriced for the room standards.

Weather rained all weekend so didn’t get to use the pool & due to recent floods the outdoor spa was out of order, however the rest of our stay was perfect.

Decent shower gel/body wash & there was no body lotion included. Better quality washing detergent would be beneficial.

Proximity to the beach, cleanliness, the pool was fantastic.

The pool with waterfall, comfortable and close to good food

Great location, fantastic views of the ocean from the apartment & rooftop. Very spacious.

Microwave & range hood not working properly.

The pool was perfect, great coffee from the restaurant and easiness of coming and going. The size of the apartment was fantastic.

The apartment itself is in need of some attention. It needs a really good deep clean in particular the kitchen cupboard doors etc. the mattress in the main bedroom was very soft and dipping.

It needs at least a coffee pod machine. We had to drive some days to get a coffee. Toiletries supplied was only 2 small shampoos for 5 days. The hard soap didn’t have anywhere to put it when opened so it needs a soap dish. Location, space, kitchen and lounge was all good. If we had a sea view it would have been perfect.

The pool was absolutely amazing the unit was very large very spacious close to everything

Wasn't very clean had quite a few bugs dead in my bathroom and we had the spa room was quite difficult getting the cover on and off.

Room was very clean and well presented very functional for holiday guests. Pool was great even though it was raining. Local restaurant very good

Coming home

Friendly staff. Great location. Lovely spacious apartment. Beautiful pool. Had good meals at Santini’s and Barrel n Vine.

The water pressure on the showers was terrible. Would have liked a safe in the apartment. It was great to have laundry facilities but the tumble dryer hung from the wall upside down means clothing and the filter falls out when the door is opened.
