    Pros +

    • THE LOCATION WAS GOOD AND CLOSE TO HOTEL AND BOTTLESHOP , WE FOUND IT VERY HARD TO FIND TAKEAWAY FOOD IN THE TOWN
    • Location was good and architecture of the building was beautiful.
    • Great location, old hotel with interesting history

    Cons -

    • FLOORS COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANER IN THE ROOMS, WE STAYED 3 NIGHTS AND HAD TO GO BUY TOILET PAPER AND TEA AND COFFEE AS NOTHING WAS REPLACED AND DOORS DONT LOCK PROPERLY
    • Bathroom was not cleaned prior to my arrival or during my stay. Balcony was not accessible directly from the bedroom but had to go down the hall to access it.
    • The hotel is really run down and urgently needs renovation. The rooms are very basic and overpriced for what they offer. The AC in my room didn’t work. There was no clear check in or check out instructions. We were really looking forward to staying here based on our online research but it was not up to our expectations. Staff were nice though.

There was no breakfast provided. Most people were welcoming and friendly. Clean facilities.

No breakfast to the rooms or in the hotel Hmm. Could not fill the kettle in the room as it did not fit under the tap, I ended up using a cup to fill the kettle. Meal are basic ie if you order veges with your meal you get Mash potato and peas. For salad chips and a finely cut salad. Tasted great but not appetising. I cut short my stay by one day and there was no refund for my room.

    The location was great

No parking spot in front of room, tv didn’t work, the room smelt (assuming maybe from boar water). Pillows very old.

History of the building and artefacts

No restaurant open we were not informed at booking time that it was closed and that included the coffee shop. It sucked

    6GaryPosted on: 2-16-2025

It is an old hotel with history, a massive balcony to stretch out on and enjoy. It was advertised through booking.com that it had a restaurant but this has not been open for sometime so there was no breakfast available or lunch and dinner, but there were other places in town to eat. Accommodation was fair and the room was nice, bed comfortable. We enjoyed the stay just for the historical value.

No restaurant, threw us a bit as we were looking for a relaxing evening.

    The location

The noisey hallway outside the roomsThe light shines in from the street and hallway. Pub had no atmosphere anymore The barman was rude and the kitchen was closed. Overpriced dump!

Fabulous history in this pub.The beautiful old wooden balcony.

Dirty bowl. Already opened UHT milk.

Old hotel and the history was cool

Bathrooms not the best. The hotel was advertised as having a restaurant but it was not in use, but still had menus in the rooms. The fridge wasn't cold.

The location was the only good thing to say

The first room we were given the TV didn't work so we got moved.went to the bathroom and the door handle fell off then went to have a shower and the water was shocking, it smelt bad and the whole bathroom floor gets soaked in water. The only tap is in the bathroom and you couldn't fill the kettle because the basin was too narrow. I understand this was a motel room at the back of a pub but I wouldn't stay there again ever for an overnight stay. The water stench was disgusting!

As a solo female traveller it was a great place to stay. Check in was a breeze. The facilities were good with a good AC unit and fan to keep the summer heat at bay. Having a drink on the verandah in the evening was a highlight.

You guys are scum bags honestly. Booking.com are part of the problem with deception and false advertising! Offering so called deals that promise your own bathroom and then after paying online and reserving a room, those details disappear. The hotel are aware if it and told me when I got there that booking.com make up lies and make offers that aren't reflective of what you get. They don't care at all and shame on you for being so deceptive! No decency or morality anymore. Fir anyone using booking.com MAKE SURE you screen shot their offers and what they promise you BEFORE YOU PAY AND SECURE A ROOM. Those details disappear after you pay and the hotel knew this as the manager was trying to get smart with me asking me to show him where in my booking confirmation it states I get a private bathroom. How pathetic that they have to be so deceptive just to get a booking. You'd think with how quiet they were they could scrub the bathrooms clean but they were filthy. It was giving derelict drug house vibes

False advertising promising a private bathroom when that wasn't the case. The fact the pictures don't show the reality of the condition of the place that reminds me of a derelict half way house. Charging almost $100 for sub par accommodation when an extra 20 or 30 dollars can get you something much cleaner and welcoming. The place was filthy - shame on booking.com and shame on the hotel corones.
