Excellent Staff

Noisy Room due to traffic during the night and the need to have the window open for ventilation.

Great location in centre of town. Comfortable bed. We had a room with a separate bathroom (Room 1), which we reckoned was worth the extra cost. Bistro downstairs was very good. We enjoyed the Scotch Fillet steak with vegetables. Great country pub atmosphere and packed inside the spacious dining and bar area.

Parking was outside the pub on the side street, but no issues.

Clean cheap and handy location

It was available during the busy weekend. The Pub downstairs is quiet nice.

Shared Bathroom, Room did not have Aircon or proper fan.Just gave us a tiny Table Fan. No water bottles in room.Some drunk bum puked on the staircase that leads to residential floor.

Location. On street parking. Pub meals.

Bedding on the standard twin needs to be thrown out. Old cotton blankets don't cut the mustard in a highlands winter.

The bar was airconditioned.

Our room was dreadful, tired and very old. It was extremely hot and the small fan only redistributed the heat. We asked if we could upgrade to a room with air conditioning and were told we would need to pay full price for a new room. The bathroom was reminiscent of a boys boarding school from the 1970’s. There was no wifi. If it were 1/2 the price it would still be too expensive.

It's 2026 and no air conditioning above ground floor definitely doesn't pass the pub test pathetic and unhealthy sure tariffs are low but close by pubs with Air are charging similar with quality a/c no WiFi again I repeat just doesn't cut it.....

Value for money, yet very...

The accommodation was very basic, as expected for the price, yet the surroundings could be better cleaned and upgraded to match the pub and downstairs areas that were great.

Never got to stay - wasted my money

See above. I tried calling 8 times, phone rang out! Tried messaging via booking.com nobody answered. I was going to arrive late and wanted help. I drove 5 hours to sleep in my car in the carpark!

Very uncomfortable

Extremely hot and stuffy. A fan only was provided which had power but didn't work and stand was broken!

Staff were friendly. They'd also clearly put effort into creating a reasonable room with new ensuite.

I was there on a Saturday night. There was a private event on at the back with ( bad) singing so loud I couldn't hear anything else eg the Netflix I was trying to watch on my laptop on my lap). It finished by 10, fortunately, but the jocularity went on for another hour and a half. I asked for a move to a room facing away but there were no spare rooms. At $190 for the night, I was more than disappointed.

The room was excellent. The staff were very helpful. The dinner (steak) was excellent.

There was no breakfast available and no WiFi in my room.

Convenient location, authentic , brilliant bar attendant and atmosphere.

A bit tired but it’s perhaps bring more character if you like it . Bistro staff could be a bit more welcoming and helpful

The bedroom was nice, comfortable, and clean.

The shared bathroom was very wet on the floor, which is partly due to the guest using it, but the showerheads orientation don't help neither.
