Bathurst Gold Panner

The interior finishes of the hotel room and bathroom.

The position of the hotel room entry right next to the laundry and the dirty linen and debris dumping area right next to the door to the hotel room. The driveway was also very rough and needs to be resealed.

Room was clean and comfortable. Handy location, breakfast included and the room price was good value

Driveway in need of urgent repair. Motel exterior needs a freshen up.

Location was good for us.

The carpet floor was constantly wet from leaking shower. Rooms were not serviced, bin emptied or towels replaced in the four nights we stayed.

Tommy from the Gold Panner was so generous that he offered 3 of the families accommodation at Mt Panorama which was awesome!!! Tommy was very happy and helpful at anytime we rang.

Stayed here previously so we knew what to expect. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Great to have the continental breakfast included.

Peaceful, comfortable, clean, friendly staff and rooms are very clean, smell lovely + terrific small balcony too.

Clean/smells lovely, great balcony to watch the sunset. And to be able to have a cigarette outside, not have to walk a mile was awesome!

Location, amenities and room

Breakfast was too basic, would be ideal if at least can provide few more items like a muffin, banana and couple of fruits if possible. Not as a negative comment but as a value addition. Overall the accommodation is really great and value for money.

Staff was unfriendly, unhelpful and gave us a saving voucher for a fast food outlet that wasn't valid until 2 days after we were due to leave. We had to ask about how to checkout early, how to find the room etc.Breakfast was meant to be included but the dining room didn't open until 7am. We needed to be on the road by 6.30 am and there was no alternative.

Room 5 was very comfortable with a large renovated bathroom, balcony, kitchenette and the continental breakfast had plenty of variety.

Pool had no water.

This is the third time I have stayed here. Check in was quick. The room is great- it has a kitchenette with microwave, kettle, fridge, plates & cutlery. Bathroom is huge, spacious balcony/verandah. The room has a small round dining table for you to have a meal or work at. Bed is comfy. The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the centre of Bathurst but this makes it very quiet. There is a continental breakfast available in the dining room in the morning- toast, cereal, fruit juices, coffee, tea, spreads for the toast and some canned fruit for cereal. I would not stay anywhere else if I have to stay in Bathurst. I have only stayed in the same type of room so can't comment on other types of rooms here.

I had some work to do online the night I stayed. After having dinner late, about 7:30pm, I started doing somework online. I managed a little bit of work but around 9pm, the wifi, despite having 2 bars showing on my laptop, was not loading anything and my laptop told me I was offline. After trying for about 30mins, I managed to pair to my phone instead of trying to use the hotel wifi. Not sure if it was the hotel's problem or a network problem but it is something that management should look into. I was just lucky that I could pair to my phone to get my work done.

Refurbished room was great. Very comfy bed and spacious room. Free breakfast was a nice touch.
