Astro Dish Motor Inn

Clean.

Very noisy - on the Highway. Restaurant closed

Close to the centre of town so we chose a Cafe breakfast. Clubs and restaurants were also nearby. Front desk man was friendly and helpful.

Male cleaner let himself in while my partner was changing. No knocking on the door first. He used a card key, it wasn't ajar . As soon as he saw her her retreated with no apology. Afterwards we then ensured the door was latched. Also, air conditioning seems to go up to 30 degrees (i.e. stops cooling) after an hour or so of running. Annoying to have to get up sweating during the night to turn it down. It works for another hour just fine, at least it did at 23 degrees.

Beautiful room, tasteful decor, large and comfortable.good location

Good size room, king bed, 2-seater lounge, table, writing desk with stool, made for a comfortable two-night stay. Helpful management, close to Services club. A little more expensive than other motels in the town but worth a few extra dollars for newer facility.

No Negative comments.

The cleanliness and modern facilities were a reason I have now stayed 2 times.

Excellent accommodations, neat, tidy, clean and so comfortable. Staff are also very friendly and accommodating. Excellent value for money, we will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

Location was good. Staff friendly. Room very clean and a large comfortable bed

The staff were very helpful and professional, the room very quiet and comfortable

nothing to dislike here

Disappointed to have a soiled towel in my bathroom, and the second towel was damp. Clearly both towels had been used. I was disappointed by the reaction of management once I showed them the towels. Especially after I explained I had to use one of the towels before I could get dressed and make a complaint. I am sure after paying $180 he would not have been very happy with this service. No compensation offered.

It was clean, comfortable and friendly staff

Noisy due to trucks

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at Astro Dish Motor Inn. Convenient location, lovely & clean, spacious, comfortable bed, nicely fitted bathroom, air-conditioned with microwave & tea & coffee facilities. Staff friendly & helpful. Great for my one night stay.

Clean , well located, quiet. polite friendly staff

No natural light in bathroom

The location is very good in that one may walk to the local RSL, which has great facilities, and easily get to the Parkes Observatory.

All was good and I particularly liked the peace and quiet one enjoyed in the rear rooms.

Clean, good location, comfortable.

Really great friendly Proprietor in what is obviously the busiest week of the year in Parkes. The room was very spacious and extremely clean, very comfy bed, 2 big modern TV's.

Great property, very clean, helpful staff. Onsite dining unfortunately not available due to staffing challenges but very close walk to many other options

Modern, clean and comfy.

Modern and clean

Shower pressure average and just needed more shower gel shampoo etc

Big rooms comfy bed

Just a bit of maintenance issues

Strong smell of sewage, we couldn't stay. No refund.

I was not sure if we should post a review, maybe our experience was an exception but just in case others experience the same, we have to share. The room had an overpowering smell of bleach, damp and sewage. My partner found a pubic hair on the toilet. When the sink was used, a terrible smell of sewage came out of the drain. The first time we turned it on, a bug flew out too.The walls were also filthy and certainly was not the clean room we had expected after reading other reviews. We spoke to the man at reception who was nice enough and offered another room. The smell of sewage was still there in the second room although not as strongly. However, to be honest we already felt uncomfortable with the level of cleanliness displayed in the first room that there was just no way we were going to feel comfortable staying in the motel. We checked out immediately and were advised that a refund would not be provided as we had booked online. I don't really understand why that was but frankly we just wanted to get out of there and find a new hotel before they closed and so didn't argue. We're also not confrontational people and this is pretty much the first time we ever have complained. It was a really disappointing experience.
