The room was great, but a little expensive. All the in-house facilities were above standard for the WA Country location. Very hard to find until you get to Kalgoorlie. The staff were very helpful and nice.

bar and entertainment areas shut early.

The room qas very clean and the staff were friendly however the price i paid was not the room "overpriced". Would i stay at the hotel again many no.

20% 1. the bed it was so uncomfortable the bed head moved when moving on bed and too springing that you end in the middle of the bed.2. Lounge was the couch too low.

The food. The expensive Steak gave me an upset stomach which made my racing weekend very uncomfortable!

The location was perfect as we were attending the Car events in the town.

The room had several dead flies on the floor in our bedroom,The restaurant was like Fawlty Towers. A group of 6 of us waited almost 2 hours on both nights for our meals to arrive. Despite being given a free drink whilst we waited all this time and some $20 vouchers to use the following night we were most dissatisfied. We will seek alternative accomodation and eateries for next year. Really gone down hill since changing ownership.

As 3 Single Adult friends we enjoyed our stay in the family room very much. Friends from York joined us for lunch at your outdoor restaurant, very tasty food. We also ate Dinner there and enjoyed.

A very minor.......Working out how to use the T.V. (we are Seniors). Maybe a list of places to see and where to eat in Northam.

Good was great. Room was reasonably comfortable. Air conditioning worked pretty well.

Shared bathroom (for the price)

Room was clean and quiet. Easily walk into the town and explore the river etc.

The staff in the restaurant were rude and unhelpful. Having booked a table for dinner we were shown to a table in the bar area and given two menus. After waiting for over 20 minutes for a waitress to take our order I enquired at the bar and was told that I had to order food there! No one told us and no visible notice. After another 30 minutes had passed we asked where the food was and were rudely told you only ordered at 7.37pm Meal eventually arrived at 8:25. Waitress said we could have a free drink as compensation for the wait but just ran off before we could say anything. Meal was quite pleasant but having travelled for several hours too tired to really enjoy

Ad was slightly misleading with the shared bathrooms vs the photos.

Location close to the hotel but not in the hotel gave more privacy but accessibility to meals, which were delicious

They were doing some building on the site, which made the access a bit more difficult

The Rec has obviously had a decent reno fairly recently. Although the facade and finer details are from the early 1900s, it was still modern feeling and comfortable. The room was equipped with two comfortable beds (one queen/double) and one single/king single, a cupboard, chair, tele, and bar fridge. Although the bathroom facilities were shared, there was readily available showers and toilets with privacy that were clean. The top floor verandah was a great place to unwind. Easy and free parking. And the restaurant was REALLY good, reasonably priced and exceptional food. The topper was the friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant.

Nothing I didn't like, but the only addition that could add to the stay would be some comfy chairs/lounges on the verandah.
