Clean and everything you need is at your doorstep. Staff went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. The pool and the garden were absolutely lovely and well looked after.

Unfortunately despite the owner’s effort to help us with that issue, the WiFi connection is not reliable enough throughout the hotel to get some work done or even to watch some streaming service online. If you can get front pools rooms you’ll definitely get a better internet reception.

Sunny unit with everything you needed for a short stay away - plus wifi, Netflix and pool if you wanted to cool down. Unit was cleaned daily with fresh towels and soaps replenished.

No block out on upper windows in the main bedroom.

That the smoke alarm went off randomly while we were just falling asleep, flat batteries in the heat pump remote (we just replaced them)

On arrival we were welcomed and offered an upgrade that we were very grateful for.The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the apartment was spacious, very clean, comfortable and very well serviced. The location is excellent, very handy to Restaurants, Shopping, The Beach, and no road noise. Parking is excellent and the grounds are well kept. Very affordable. If your a family looking for accommodation in Gisborne we highly recommend The Teal.

Lovely spacious clean unit, great hosts and staff.

The place is very neat, clean.Bed sheets however was not straitened after my first night stay onwards.They supply one of the nicest filter coffee sachets I tasted in a long time.

Sky television is not operational in any of the units.The wifi was switched of early hours of the morning.Police was chasing someone around the units

Room cleaning a bit random

Location was excellent. The cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a swimming pool but we didn’t use as I saw a camera looking straight across it.

There seem to be more security cameras on the property than you would find in a bank! The cost to stay was not in line with the product on offer. The carpark was across the front door to our unit and it was difficult to get in and out. The kitchen was tiny and no pan to cook in. On arrival the following issues were found:- Toilet seat broken- TV remote not working and Netflix not working- Door between kitchen and bathroom would not latch or stay closed so when you showered it would slowly open- No hand soap in bathroomMost of these matters were fixed immediately however given how much we paid we should not have had to worry about this.

Slightly dated room, and toilet seat a bit loose

Location was fine. Everything required was there.

The room was very tired and grubby. It all needs refurbishing. The bed settee which we only used as a settee is filthy. We moved on to Whakatane and paid less for a beautiful suite that is clean and fresh.

We didn't stay for breakfast. It was a quick trip. Good being in Gisborne.

Property tired and basic maintenance (of this room) had been neglected. A list was provided to reception.

Clean Tidy and friendly staff.. Super , awesome to have the pool right outside our room, we had it all to ourselves.. It's really awesome to have a stove oven in our unit. How great, even though we didn't use it, it's still a really handy kitchen tool .. The shower pressure was amazing..

We made a last minute decision to travel to Gisborne for the night. Easy to book online, easy to find, very grateful that a key was left out for us as we arrived after the 8pm check in time, very clean, comfy beds. We were on the main road heading into Gisborne we a little concerned about the traffic passing, I did not hear a thing. The grounds were beautiful setting.
