Whispering Sands Beachfront Motel

Perfect location, right by the beach. Full kitchen with stovetop, microwave, toaster & kettle. Great boardwalk, very soft sand and cool driftwood on the beach. Nice balcony to see the sunrise & sunsets.

No issues, everything was perfect

Right on the beach and the upstairs room and balcony views were exceptional, very peaceful quiet location and surroundings were beautiful with a good surf wave and offshore winds . Perfect

Unusual bathroom and kitchen set-up, but wasn't a problem.

Amazing location next to the beach, staff were friendly and the room was tidy, spacious and well appointed.

The shower was little more than a dribble, but we were given the romm next door that had a better shower.

Lovely outlook over the beach, and a short walk to the sand. The layout of the apartment and standard of facilities exceeded our expectations. The staff we met were very friendly and welcoming. We would not hesitate in recommending Whispering Sands Beachfront Motel.

I would have preferred downstairs unit cos I find stairs a bit difficult however I didn’t specify that when I booked.

we loved the beach and view location, couldn't be better, also plenty of heating, as it was fairly cold in Gisborne. Access to the beach was unbeatable and a lovely walk into the town centre. Kitchen worked well for breakfast.

Omg I absolutely LOVED everything. I loved how close my room was to the sea and listening to it all night. I love how the rooms where laid out and how they both connected to th bathroom and kitchen. bed had an actual thick duvet on it so was very cosey and warm. Nice and spacious, had a good sized balcony with comfy seats and a PERFECT view of the sea. Nice cafe round the corner for ya morning coffee literally 5min walk also close to town. And lastly the two ladies I dealt with were so kind and friendly. Definitely recommend 1000%

Fantastic apartment, compact but with everything you need including a full kitchen. Its perfectly appointed right on the boardwalk, and was the perfect option for us and the kids. Comfy beds, and spotlessly clean.

Excellent customer service and clean rooms.

Due to building the wifi service kept dropping out so difficult to stream movies on a rainy day amd check social media. Would not recommend for business travellers.

Really friendly staff member who was kind and smiley and made you feel at home. I also loved being able to buy a bottle of wine, snacks, oj and pop at the reception area.

Something to improve the view would be to swap out the railings on the deck for glass, so you can truly enjoy the spectacular views.

Well the best thing about this Motel is location, location, location, as it is almost right on the beach. It has a wood plank walkway between it and the beach which everyone uses for their morning walk/job so is a great way to start the day. We were on the second floor so the balcony had a great view of the ocean. Close proximity to walk to breakfast and dinner.
