The Kamo Hotel

It was handy and easy to access once keys received. Comfortable bed.

Window pane broken, no soap dish in shower, bathroom door hit bed and difficult to access, only one side of bed accessible. Kitchenette opposite and no airflow [very hot and stuffy] with no teaspoons.

For the price it was ok, The bed was comfortable, close to shops, great host.

Suburb about 6km from central Whangarei. TV, Wi-fi, off-road parking, close to local shops & restaurants. Interesting history from early 20th century, including US troops stationed there during WW2

Limited cooking facilities. Somewhat run-down pub/hotel

The room was very musty, we aired it out. Got woken at 2.30am with vehicle outside by our car. We let them know we saw them and they left.We were so worried about them coming back to do something to our car, we packed up and left at 3.15am.We won't be returning to this establishment in the near future.

A lot of low lives hooning around. Very noisy location

Easy walk to good eateries. Easy route to home. Great water pressure in shower. Staff were kind and as helpful as they could be but did appear to be under resourced.

Noisy intersection. Tatty décor (peeling paint and frayed blinds mould in shower corners ). Linen smelled clean but looked old. Communal kitchen dirty and ill equipped. No kitchen service at bar as advertised on website.

The place smelt and very strongly when I went into my room. Almost like a smoke smell. Pillows were so lumpy like they were really old. Only sheets and 1 blanket on the bed but the sheets were so thin you could see the mattress through them they were very poor quality. The kitchen was a tiny room and to be honest I wouldn't use the tea or coffee ect in there. It definitely could have used a clean. The whole place just made me uncomfortable and the lack of cleanliness gave me the ick

Beautiful hotel right in Kamo great price easy parking close to all amenities

My room in particular was quite bright from street lights outside and very noisy being right by the intersection however the hotel was great and a great place to stay

could do with a little Reno here and there but not to fussed it has a bed a privates shower and the pressure is good after a hard nights work...just what's needed

The hotel seemed like a neglected place, as the entrance featured an old, dusty restaurant that had been closed for a long time. The bed was outdated and excessively soft, causing back pain the next morning. The blanket was rough, leading to skin irritation and itchiness. There were no proper amenities provided, except for two tiny pieces of soap. Additionally, the walls of the room were dirty, further adding to the discomfort.
