Lupton Lodge

I booked on behalf of our plumbers who were travelling for work up North. I received very great feedback about the stay. The location was perfect; the value was absolutely worth it with the breakfast included. We will definitely be staying again when we travel for work again!

Andy the the owner and the host was a pleasure to converse with. Food was delicious And Andy went out of his way to create a perfect And very special stay.

Lovely country property with terrace that looked over horse pasture! Awesome breakfast provided by Host who was pleasant and informative of what to do in area.

It is conveniently located and has an interesting history. The neighbor has horses which was a pleasant surprise. Bathroom is large with good water pressure. The AC was appreciated.

The breakfast service was first class bacon was cooked to perfection and their was lots of different choices. The room itself was perfect very comfortable and bed was excellent, bathroom and shower and kitchen facility's were also first class.

The breakfast was top notch; we also had dinner on the night of our arrival, which was superb. The wine list was well priced. The location easy to find and quiet with big gardens.

Breakfast was probably the best of the entire trip we took - freshly prepared and amazing! room was very spacious, and we felt super comfortable. nice views onto the countryside

Lupton Lodge is a short drive to Whangarei and all the shops and restaurants there, but is located in a quiet area. The grounds are large and give it a private feel. Our room was spacious.Head over to Lupton Lodge's website for tons of info to help you plan your stay. I found this very useful and the owner, Andy, is incredibly helpful and communication was great. Helped set up a diving trip. You can also have dinner at the Lodge (to be arranged beforehand) which we very much enjoyed.

Everything was very good. Lots of space and very comfortable. Well located. Very nice breakfast.

We stayed at 16 different bed and breakfast establishments during our month long trip around New Zealand. Lupton Lodge was by far the best and the breakfast was amazing.

Dinner was amazing! Andy, the host, is a great cook and also a very nice, helpful and friendly person. The breakfast which is included in the room price is excellent, nice choices.

This is not the property's fault as they dont mention it on their website, but I had made my booking thinking there was a swimming pool. There is one there, but it is not in use. The photos I was looking at were older ones, taken by guests. Just something to be aware of!

The owner, Andy, was so welcoming and gave good information about the area. Breakfast the next morning with some made to order options was quite a treat. The property is set in a lovely and peaceful orchard - just a great respite at the end of a busy travel day. Close to both Tutukaka and Whaigarei, it was perfectly situated for exploring and for our dive trip the next day to the Poor Knights Islands.

Great room, lovely quiet location, exce!lent breakfast and evening meal

Clean, spacious, good little place to break up our travels.

Little bit of a foisty smell in the downstairs area, but windows had been opened when we arrived. May just have been because it hadn't been used for a while.

The breakfast was the best we have had in all our stays so far. Being vegan I REALLY appreciated that Andy gave us non diary milk and coconut yogurt in the morning. Also Andy was so helpful about the locality, recommending where we could eat dinner for the evening etc and also about our itinerary the next day, without being intrusive. His place is so tranquil with bird song and a beautiful garden.

The property was very clean/tidy, lots of space to move around, the customer service was excellent, location was perfect for us as it wasn’t a noisey area but close enough go the town + shops and the breakfast was delicious and always on time.

The mattress was a little too tough for my liking.
