Amazing resturant food. Close to town. The staff deserve 10/10 for customer service. They are amazing going above and beyond to assist with anything needed.

It was a short walk out of the city. Near a river that led to the city's entertainment centre.

Found a cockroach in the bathroom

Spacious room, clean, friendly staff.

Showing some signs of age, noise from main road more noticeable than expected.

Liked sitting on the patio after a day of driving. Walkable to the harbour.

Pool was closed. Restaurant food was average. The motel was very tired.

Twin beds which were very comfortable good sized room. Easy to find. Easy parking.

Fan but no air conditioner. Room facing out to main drag a little noisy with traffic.

Located conveniently to town along the Hatea River The room itself looks very tired and could do with an update and new appliances would make a more comfortable stay Didn't get the chance to use the pool or in house restaurant.

Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Nice stroll into the Whangarei Town Basin for meals or shopping.

Dated and didn't feel like good value for the money spent.The heat pump only blew warm air. It had an error code. Told reception and she said it was only meant to be for heat. However, she did say she would tell the maintenance crew next week because of the error code. Quite uncomfortable relying on only the floor fan on such a sticky hot summers night!

THe second day I was upgraded to a much better room by a very pleasant staff member.

Location was perfect and the staff was extraordinary. It was a guy( I can not remeber his name) but he was working at the bar and also as a receptionist. He was brilliant and very helpful.

I loved the restaurant as the food was phenomenal, huge kudos to the chef. The food was made with so much love, no salt needed as it just had so much flavour. We ate dinner and had included the buffet breakfast which was also amazing. The beds were comfortable and the rooms cosy.

The rooms had no aircon, which likely wouldn't have been much of a problem if the heatwave hadn't hit the weekend we stayed. The showers also you need to fiddle and find the right spot for a warm shower as it was either hot or cold. Once figured out we made it work.

Very friendly staff, breakfast option available, good parking, quiet even though on a busy road.

Not walking distance to town and restaurants

I liked the outdoor common areas.

The room was $197 for 1 night, it had no air-conditioning and my room was super hot when I arrived. The shower pressure was terrible with some parts of it dripping out and the water went from hot to cold several time during my 5 minute shower. I also didnt like that the deck was shared and didnt have an privacy screens. Really not worth the price I paid. There was a fan available but it was dirty.

Very handy location. Clean rooms and lots of space. Good shower/bathroom. Quiet at night for sleeping.

The hotel's hospitality was terriifc.

There is no airconditioning. Smokers are allowed to smoke outisde their rooms so the smoke wafts to the other rooms down the external veranderah.

it is close to a few good places, the waterfall, the art center, and the Mair Park.The staff did a good job to clean the room.

Even after I read the review that the room is small, it is still a surprise how small it is for 2 adults and 2 kids. I won’t complain much about the price during the Xmas, however if it is still the same price off the peak season, it is definitely not recommended.The cover of the beds and chair are worn-out, which doesn’t feel clean. The toilet is too small to wash. There is a gap between the toilet and bedroom with small wooden spikes, I have to put the bath towel on it to avoid hurting the kids.

We loved the pool. The cleanliness of the place and the beds were so comfortable.

It was hot and there wasn’t any AC. We did t even have a fan in the room. We had to leave the door wide open during the night which was ok as we felt very safe.
