ASURE Avenue Heights Motel

The staff, who I think were the owners, were super friendly and helpful. The TV selections were the best I have had so far in New Zealand. The room was very clean.

Location next to the main road so a bit of traffic noise especially noticeable at night.wonder

The room and bathroom was very clean and spacious. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The beds was great.

We had issues finding the channels for TV. The receptionist tried to help but it was the son (who was out) who knew how to set it. Anyway, I had to figure out how to use the TV by myself. Simple instructions would have been helpful. Also, they could provide a dish rack and sponge for the dishes. There is no dishwasher, so I don't know how they expect guests to wash and dry dishes properly.

Close to the town centre and easy to walk down (approx 15mins each way). Room looks newly renovated, clean as a whistle and very comfortable.

TV channel availability could be increased.Hand soap for the bathroom basin would be appreciated.

We had a room spacious enough to relax in, the room servicing was very efficient & much appreciated. A guest laundry that was very clean & user friendly too.And the hosts were so lovely & friendly. Would highly recommend this motel

We had an awesome stay at Avenue Heights Motel! We stayed in a larger studio with a double and single bed, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a modern bathroom. The room was spotless and super comfortable – truly a home away from home. A real bonus was the guest laundry, which came in very handy. The hosts are absolutely lovely – friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. We ended up staying an extra night due to the weather, and they kindly let us keep the same room, which was much appreciated.

Nothing at all - we’ll definitely be back.

Clean, easy to find, handy to town and main road.

To noisy to sleep beyond 5:00 AM both mornings. At $200 per night it was above my usual price, so I was expecting something attractive, fresh, and new, however, it was a very basic old fashioned NZ motel.

It was very clean and tidy. The rooms were very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was well located in relation to most things. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

Excellent facilities, wonderful hosts. Helped the trip and business meetings go very smoothly as we were well rested and very comfortable in the surroundings.Danny and his wife were very friendly and helpful in all aspects of the stay.Will definitely stay here again and inform others of the high standards at Avenue Heights.Thanks again.

Nothing to complain about, all good!

This motel was close to the city and the staff went above and beyond to cater to our needs.Had a quick dip in the pool that was great and had a lovely overnight stay.

My stay was perfect would recommend if you are in whangarei look for this motel for your stay rooms are very clean the couple who run the facilities are very nice friendly people and if you want a cooked breakfast please ask it is very good.

Right on the main road (though not too noisy). Not really close to much but that seems to be the nature of the town.

The location was a three minute ride into the centre or a fifteen minute walk so quite easy to get to. The hotel is next to a busy highway but the room was very quiet The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the two recliner seats wonderful. The unit was spotlessly cleaned each day.

The tv had Aljazera which is a good news channel but we would have liked Sky news. Would have been good if they had a vending machine for water and or soft drinks.

Easy to find, straight forward check in and great staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Spacious dining, lounge & kitchen area. Good shower. No issues to be honest and good parking.
