Comfort Hotel Flames Whangarei

Loved the view down through the bush to the water. Quite a big room and very quiet. Especially loved Holly, she was the perfect host. Took us to our room and showed us everything and when she spoke to you it was like you were the most important person in the room. The restaurant was good and great having cabinet food available.

Our beds were a bit hard. That's a personal thing and I've had an accident so would be more susceptible than usual.

Place needs a refresh. They forgot to say NO elevatorlooks and feels run down

Loved the size of the rooms they are old style and do need a little modernising but saying that they are still good. Very roomy staying previous in dearer accommodation that are the standard rooms it’s good to have the space.

It was good no problem at all.

Location was great for the airport. Staff were very friendly. Easy check in and out.

Beautiful views from our room. Room was spacious and comfortable.

Bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely aired with views of Whangarai.

When we first walked in to check in staff did not welcome us, it took the (manager or owner) to come up to us offer apologies for her staff. We were upgraded in our room and very well looked after during our dinner dining.

This hotel is an absolute hidden gem. We were wowed by how beautiful it was- the grounds, location, views and room were all simply superb. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We wished we were staying longer and will definitely return here when we can.

A lovely welcome. Very helpful and the room had a great view. Very comfortable and clean.

My wife and I used the executive suite - this felt way roomier and more comfortable than what I had had at a similar price from other hotel chains. We had an excellent view (when not blocked by bad weather), and plenty of options of movies/TV shows to stream when we called it a night. The breakfast was abundant, filling and delicious.

The parking up front was a bit cozy, especially when occupied by larger vehicles. There is a second parking area, but I didn't try it.

Our room was clean comfortable. The beds were great. And a view. How good. The lady who welcomed us was super nice informative and made us feel welcomed.

Nothing negative meets our needs. Will totally recommend hotel.

The property has a restaurant, very large for its guest capacity, that punches well above its weight. There is some fine cooking going on here, enough to make it a destination in its own right. Outside seating on a large patio makes it all the more attractive in summer. Most rooms (possible all) have attractive views over the pool, the harbour and the countryside beyond
