The Esplanade Motel

Great location

I find it tricky. They said ‘refundable’ but there is refund of almost a cost of the stay- ridiculous!!!Not sure what this FEE is for to be honest. I booked it eagerly then after 30 minutes checking other accomodation, found out it was a bit pricy but to be fair location was really good though but still i would prefer a not so central location with reasonable price. Anyway i tried to cancel it after 30 minutes, and it was declined-as i need to pay the ridiculous “refund fee” which i was trying to negotiate to waive as it just booked 30 minutes earlier. The management nevertheless declined, so anyway proceeded to stay as i don’t want to pay that refund fee.Come check in day, we arrived early and requested if we can check in early, i believe we arrived 12pm, the man in the reception was kind enough to tell us the room is not ready, thus asked us if we can come back during check in time, i think it was 2pm, anyway we are new to the area we thought of going around checking nearby places while waiting to check in.Around check in time, we came back and the receptionist (a +size woman -might be the owner) authoritative voice-sounds not happy because she said when she identified us oh that ‘funny reservation’ not her exact words but something like that.Then i said ‘nothing wrong with asking to cancel a reservation after 30 minutes..then she became very defensive, she said please don’t put this on me, i’m very tired, she said many things more can’t remember anymore but she mentioned she got two big sons who are black belt in Karate, and i was like where is this convo going, anyway i told her im sorry but i didn’t mean to trigger her or anything, all we want to is check in and stay in overnight.. she said some more but didn’t pay attention as i was intimidated already, i felt small, so i was just waiting for her to stop talking and give me the keys.. after a while she eventually gave me the 4keys of our reserved rooms.

Great location, good price, clean and greeting was warm.

Rooms are basic but has everything you need. Furniture a little dated but still in good condition. Location is good, short walk to the water, shops and restaurants.

driveways are narrow and extra care is needed when going in and out of the premises.

The bed was uncomfortable, the room was smelly and I left with a fungal skin infection that I'm still treating weeks later.

Excellent location in the centre of town, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable with a quiet room.

THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE ROOM WAS GENEROUS IN SIZE AND THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE.THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL AND WOULD NOT HESITATE TO STAY HERE AGAIN.

UNFORTUNATELY THE POOL WAS OUT OF ORDER WHEN I STAYED.

The motel is in a great location, very close to the Esplanade, with beautiful views of Lakes Entrance. The surroundings were peaceful and made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The room was comfortable and clean, and check-in was smooth. The location made it easy to explore Lakes Entrance and nearby attractions.

The swimming pool was not clean enough to use during our stay.

It was a good location & clean & a comfortable be.

To have Netflix would have been better

We liked that it was in a great location. It had comfy beds and a good supply of tea and coffee.

It really needs a paint and a spruce up. We have stayed a few times here and it has got a little run down since we were here last. It was very slippery in the shower.

Location was great to access shops and beach 2min. Place was nice and clean, staff was very good.

Air condition was not cooling at all. Wireless not working and staff response was too many might be using so try after few hours.carpet was not clean, fridge freezer was not working and snails coming out from showers.

Location. Size of room. Clean. Quiet and all round great. Have stayed here about three times now and will be back! Always great.

Everything went well, I have stayed here before with also exceptional service, and wonderful owners. Like last time, i had one of the owners assist with my luggage due to a shoulder disability. There is not one negative I can add to this. I asked for the same room as last time and no issues. The motel is so close to everything which was another reason for the choice.

For the price happy with all aspects

The room was very clean and warm, the bed comfortable. The linen was also very clean. Microwave and TV provided.

Disappointing.

Other guests were making noise until well after midnight. Run down facilities and no hot water at night.
