Mitchell River Tavern

Very comfortable, well appointed budget room and en suite facilities. The most impressive feature of this particular room was the floor tiling in the shower recess. Whoever did it was a MASTER tiler. I have never encountered such craftsmanship!

If you’re sensitive to smells, inquire if any rooms have the paint smell reduced.

Smell of paint in room. Freshly renovated.Staircase from underground parking spot is fairly thin.

All staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. TV/internet were great, bed/pillows very comfortable and ensuite was spotless. Beer/wine reasonably priced and our dinner was very tasty.

Location was great. The restaurant downstairs had really good food. They had a band on downstairs too which was fun and a cocktail bar.

It would have been good if they had a toaster and microwave and bowls and more cutlery so we could have breakfast in our room.

Large clean room, definitely value for money. Managed to arrive for dinner, food was great.

A bedside charger would have been helpful rather than having to move the bed to find a power point.

Good location, walking distance to shops and restaurant's. Great verandah over looking a park. Friendly staff, undercover parking. Bistro serves tasty pub meals, cocktail bar out the back.

We had a great 1 night stay at the Mitchell River Tavern.It started with us arriving and having lunch which was excellent quality and great value for money.Checking in was very simple with clear instructions and directions.Food was so good we decided to go and have dinner there too. It was extremely busy but the friendly staff assisted and had a table for us before we’d even had our cocktails made at the cocktail bar as we had a short wait for a table to become available. Food was on point as was the great service. Cocktail bar was so good we went back for more. The room was immaculate and clean, the bed comfortable and spacious.

Updated our room to suit us instantly free of charge. Very friendly and welcoming

Bed was awful. Sat down on the bed and rolled away. Got no sleep, could feel the springs in the mattress digging into your back. Very noisy and paper thin walls

This is a hotel that has got it together. It was suggested that we book a table for dinner, as it was a Saturday night. They were correct as it was booked out. The food and service were great. The room was basic but well appointed, clean and very usable. Apart from the restaurant there is a cocktail bar, gaming area and a ‘band room’All were full.
