Marlo Hotel

Very comfortable room in excellent position with view across the Snowy River. Food in the bistro was excellent and good value, and staff were friendly and provided great service.

A very comfortably refurbished hotel rooms. A excellent bar with a great bistro. Always a great visit, comfortable, busy and friendly.

Lovely location. Balcony with a sunset view. Friendly staff. The bed was comfortable, bathroom & shower great.

The WiFi was not working in our room at the end of the building. It was great in the restaurant/bar. The room was a little tired, worn stained chairs, wobbly legs on the side table. No table and chairs for eating breakfast .

Dinner in the pub was delicious and I was amazed how busy the pub was on a Monday night. Definitely a pleasant surprise. The views from the venue were lovely with easy walks nearby. The bathroom was newly renovated.

Although the bathroom was newly renovated, it wasn't finished. The window frames hadn't been finished off nor painted. Other parts of the room were tired and in need of an upgrade. It was more expensive than the very smart one bedroom apartment we had stayed at the night before in the centre of Canberra but it's the only accommodation of its type in Marlo so, if you want to go to Marlo, you really have to take it as it is.

Love the pub connected to the accomm. Location superb, meal was great, so all good there. Room excellent; warm, comfortable and clean. New ensuite appointment was amazing.

Everything was great except there was a rather loud and persistent knocking noise that made sleeping challenging.. I thought it might be an open window and went outside several times to no avail. I finally thought that it might be a pipe shudder that knocks when water is turned off and on possibly in the kitchen. It diminished early in the morning but is worth finding out cause it was a bother and kept me awake. I was in the room called The Narrows.

Accommodation with balcony was very comfortable and clean with view towards river. Drinks on outdoor deck overlooking river and sunset, excellent pub dinner and live music made for a fun evening. Tesla destination charger was an unexpected bonus for us.

Very good location next to the river.

I found a small insect in the bed sheets.Also there was no place to hang or store your clothes

The view from the deck of the sunset was such a brilliant surprise. Food was very good. Our room opened to the back veranda which I loved.

Nothing. Being a pub was ready for a noisy sleep but once pub closed around 10, just heard the waves.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. It may look old as you drive up to it, but inside the facilities, particularly the rooms and the food are great

Extremely good value and perfect for a solo female traveller. Freshly renovated, good bathroom and lighting and quiet. Friendly staff.

Hidden gem. Very comfortable room within hotel. Meals at hotel are excellent.

Music from bar a little loud in our room but it was Sat night!

Nice size room, large bathroom, own little verandah.Hotel facilities very close and convenient for dinner, room was a good distance that no noise was heard.

The screen door to the verandah was not lockable, which meant the room was quite stuffy overnight. It would have been perfect if the door was lockable.

Smelly old carpet. Rooms need a renovation. Bathroom was fine.

Large room and comfortable bed. You might like this property if you don't mind a background odour of old carpet, furniture and damp, combined with cigarette smoke seeping in through poorly sealed windows

Shabby furniture/ bathroom. Our accommodation *with sea view* was in fact overlooking the car parkwith trees obscuring any dustanr water views. The balcony outside was shared... which ordinarily is no problem- although for us it meant a constant stream of people talking loudly at the only table - which was right outside our window. Also - this is where ash trays are step up so we also had cigarette smoke seeping through the poorly sealed bedroom and bathroom windows. Guests ignored requests by staff to move away from our windows. Walls are paper thin so lots of noise from adjacent rooms. Not a great stay... not recommended

Superb location, friendly staff and tasty pub meals - a great place to unwind.

the room was big, the bathroom was excellent,

boy it was noisy. I think part of the problem was that it was bucketing down outside so half of Victoria, who were camping, crashed the pub to get out of the rain. there needs to be flat, shaded spots for parking.
