    Pros +

    • Handy to great pub. Was able to unload our car without getting wet in downpour. Location excellent as shop, pub, river, jetty all VERY handy i.e. walking distance.
    • Location was good
    • The Marlo Caravan park was a great option for us as we were travelling with our dog and this provided a much-needed break to the drive. The studio was clean and roomy (big enough for us to fit our suitcase and our dog's crate. Bonus was there was a grassed area out the front that we could take our dog out for toilet breaks. And an extra bonus was that the Marlo Hotel is just across the road and is also dog friendly with delicious food.

    Cons -

    • Could not get wifi. No gas lighter so had to change breakfast plans.
    • bed was uncomfortable - lounge was worn out, you could feel the timber in the seat - toilet sistern leaked - cooking utensils were not up to standard - frypan was old and worn out - tv remote didnt work properly - units need a real overhaul
    • rooms a little tired but still clean and beds very comfy

great place for what we needed. Small mix up with the room booking but addressed and fixed immediately. Thanks for a great stay

The cabin had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. The air conditioning was efficient and quiet. The water pressure in the shower was great.

The cabin was smaller than it appeared in the photos, and it had some signs of wear and tear.

Facilities like the BBQ area, tidy gardens and general cleanliness.

Nobody was on reception over the weekend so people were confused on how to check-in, ask information etc, the power was out for 5 hours, no communication. Some small things would make it so much nicer.

    Won’t go back there again!

The motel room was dirty and it smelt terrible. Beds felt itchy and hard!

    5FionaPosted on: 3-9-2025

    Location great

The price per night ($173) definitely doesnt justify the accommodation. It was OK but prob around $120 per night more on par with the quality.

Closeness to the ocean and walking tracks through the forest.

The property was filthy. I turned the bedding back and there were dark hairs on the sheets. The cooking utensils were caked with food from the previous person so I had to go and buy paper plates, cups and cutlery from the discount store at Orbost. There were black spiders and webs over the toilet so I walked to the main public toilet for fear of getting bitten by the crawling spiders. The toilet bowl had someone else’s poo around the bowl and the shower floor was dirty and leaked. It was dusty and the oven was also filthy. The receptionist was rude when I complained and frankly I was disappointed in knowing that this park was one of the G’Day parks. Have stayed in G’Day parks before and have never seen one as dirty as this. I felt it was overpriced for my two nights and wish I had stayed elsewhere.

    Great location

The bed was too hard. Fly screen door didn’t close properly. Air conditioner when turned on smelt like urine.

    7ThompsonPosted on: 2-3-2025

Location was good and cabin comfortable

Cost was $69 more than others paid for the same cabin, should have called directly to the park instead of booking online, $280 compared to $349 not impressed with that ? Strong smell of cleaning products, friends next to me didn't have this issue.

    Great location.

A bit dated and cleaning wasn’t great in some areas.

    3DenizPosted on: 1-26-2025

    The location.

Rooms were dirty.Mouldy chairs.Ladder to bunk bed for kids was unstable.Advertised a playground and this was incorrect, playground was non functional and unusable

Position good. Well designed and spacious. Good access.

Taps leak easily. Toilet waste has slow leak. Vinyl flooring is generally filfy and needs to be scrubbed. Sofa's comfortable but condition warrants replacing. Curtains torn and blinds need replacing. I will stop now.

    6PetePosted on: 1-17-2025

    Close to pub

Shower screen doors falling off. Curtains falling down when trying to open or close them. Timber panel missing from outside stair/balcony railing with rusty nails protruding with I cut my hand on

Nice location and close to the hotel and take away food. I think Marlo is a lovely little spot. Our room was nothing special but was up to my expectations and reasonably comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay would stay here again

Dog friendly, easy check in, location was excellent.

Cabin was dated, tv didn’t work (or remote didn’t work), bathroom was not very practical (could not see self in mirror because am 5 ft 2 and shower head was not adjustable).

    3SusiePosted on: 12-10-2024

    Poor

TV didn't work, staff didn't return phone calls , cabin very small.

    8PinkPosted on: 12-8-2024

We liked that we found a very clean basic cabin on low budget at end of our road trip. Close to Snowy River mouth for quick swim before dinner at the surprisingly buzzing Marlo Pub which had great meals and wine plus dog friendly.Much better than dog friendly cabins in Lakes Entrance for sure! Hosts were great and basics were all there.

All good really though roof over entry porch area would be nice (some have them) and the sudden hard rain was a surprising sound on the all metal cabin (no fault of hosts) and I guess caravans etc are same. Took is a few minutes to figure out what it was!

Last minute booking for a wedding, staff were friendly, cabin was clean and tidy and bed was very comfy!
