bed was comfy and services were good, staff was very helpful.

Not that much. We saw some cool birds.

It felt mostly clean until we noticed a stain on the doona cover & that made us question how clean it really was. The room was tired and needed updating. I wouldn't stay here again. The 'view' out of the glass doors is of an overgrown, rough looking garden and a wire fence.

restaurant staff wouldnt allow us to take some of our food back to the rooms and the food was expensive

I like the York as a whole, but this is the first time I’ve stayed at the property. I ended up leaving after an hour or so. The property itself is lovely, but the rooms and staff are awful

I paid for a twin queen room for my friend and I. Staff did not make us aware that it was an interconnecting room and we felt uncomfortable with this.The walls were paper thin and we could hear every word of the man in the next room.We asked for a room change, all they could offer was another interconnecting room to which I denied and said I would leave and like a refund.I have been in touch with the manager who refuses a refund.This may not be a big deal for some, but as a woman that has experienced severe domestic violence, I did not feel safe here, firstly with the doors & then with how much we could hear, he could’ve heard any personal information we shared

Great location for visiting the Yarra Valley.

We had a room with an adjoining door. This contributed to noise within the room and people trying to open the door. The room also had a very noisy fridge.

Service and house keeping, location

Lack of storage space, broken toilet holder, uncomfortable sitting, sguicky bathroom door and faulty lock on the bathroom door, shower screen inadequate..water everywhere, no microwave or toaster, utensils..Suitable only for one night stay, when you don't have to unpack your luggage...Our 6 nights stay was uncomfortable.

We love the view of the lake and the location of the hotel is perfect, right at the foot of the Dandenongs and not far from Yarra Valley.

We used the hotel for an overnighter related to a medical procedure my husband had to have done. It provided an ideal place for the night that positioned us between the hospital on the first day and the medical rooms for the checkup on the 2nd day. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and cully equipped.Even though the hotel was used by a number of truck crews that night, the room and the area were very quiet. The outlook from the room onto a natural setting of trees and a lake were unexpected and very relaxing.

The room was a great size with 2 double beds. Ideal for our purpose travelling for a wedding at a nearby venue.

We were happy with everything for a one night stay.

The place is clean.However it was a bit noisy as we stayed at the bottom floor and you can hear the people upstairs walking around and snoring.I did tell the reception but she seems not too concerned about it.

Very nice. Tidy clean comfy with a look at the pond and lawn. Really quiet. Neighbors are nice and polite too. Like the location and stay.

Location was great, staff were all lovely. View from the room was very pretty, looking onto the lake. Very handy with the bistro for the kids.

A microwave in the room would be handy, and pehaps some cutlery

The breakfast would have been nice, but it was cold. We had 8 breakfasts and they were all cold. Eggs are not very nice cold.

Food

Only disappointed about no room service nor did they give preference for guests at the bistro.Not even a message prior that a booking would be required as it books out. We rented out 5 rooms for a wedding. A mesg would have been nice atleast. Also tried to get takeaway food but was also advised not possible
