Oscar's On The Yarra

Exceptionally friendly welcome by Christine., and all staff very friendly. Room was lovely, very clean. The breakfast was delicious, and they make great coffee! Location so close to the Yarra was fabulous...so peaceful. When airco not working in our room on arrival, Christine and staff made every effort to get it working successfully.

1 chair and one table on balcony both broken. My husband nearly fell through back of chair when he sat on it. I would have thought furniture is checked regularly.

The hot breakfast was excellent, great location and very clean room. Could not fault the accomodation.

Lovely to go to a family owned business. The service was exceptional- prior to arrival and during our stay. The location was beautiful, with seats set up by the river for you to enjoy soaking in the tranquility. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast included is always a winner for me!

Oscar’s setting is idyllic. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Oscar’s is owned and staffed by a very pleasant, kind and hospitable family. The homemade full breakfast was a special treat. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Wish the rooms were bigger. They were clean and comfortable though. Suggest more outdoor seating besides the Yarra.

My room was beautiful with a lovely view of the trees, and so close to the river. I could hear the sound of the river which was so peaceful. Some rooms have beautiful river views. I liked my room with the view of the trees and shade. The bed was an extra large King size and very, very comfortable. The room and bathroom were so clean and fresh. Very ,Very happy. The location was really good and the breakfast was also very nice. ALL OF THE STAFF have been FANTASTIC. Friendly , welcoming and really nice to talk to. I am so happy I booked " Oscar's" and am arranging to come again with other friends.

I liked everything.

The whole experience was great.My favourite part was the little patio. I spent the afternoon out there reading my book and listening to the rain. Absolutely divine.And the staff are just gorgeous. So friendly and accommodating. I felt very taken care of.

My neighbors had a talent for slamming doors at all hours, but that's not your fault haha

Christine and the staff were so lovely and accommodating and the grounds were stunning! Amazing coffee and brekky was a great start to our mornings.

Lovely historical place with beautiful garden and friendly atmosphere. Hospitality was amazing, we arrived after long bike trip and they even gave us chocolate when everything was closed.

Stunning views, rich history, and top-tier service! Oscars went above and beyond by rescheduling our stay for free after a last-minute cancellation. The stargazing was a highlight despite the clouds. Highly recommended!

While the 300m walk from the bus stop is very short, the dogs at the neighboring farm can be quite intimidating. I’d suggest that future guests arriving by public transport call the hotel ahead of time for advice or a quick pickup to avoid a stressful walk.

The location by the Yarra River is breathtakingly beautiful. The grounds and huge and so peaceful and relaxing. The views from the dining room and balcony are beautiful. Breakfast is delicious. Very close to bike track. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

Doors in hallway can be noisy if guests aren’t being considerate.

Staff very friendly. Lounge rooms, big deck, river frontage. Breakfast in dining room was amazing!

Walls were a bit thin and room a bit small.
