Finley Motel

All new carpet, tiles and a lovely walk in shower. The bed was comfortable, crisp linen and soft towels.

The fridge was 25 years old and needed defrosting, The exterior is looking tired, could do with a refresh and some healthy plants.

The water pressure was extremely poor in the shower and the cold water over the sink was warm almost hot.

Not enough tea/ coffee/ suger or milk. Would like bigger cups, perhaps mugs. No glasses to drink water from. Not enough cutlery

Slippery tiles in shower floor. No fan in bathroom. Window fly screen all torn. Tiny wine glasses. Noisy passing truck noise ( it's the Newell Highway ) No tissues. All up, poor value for money. Noisy fridge cutting in and out.

I didn't order breakfast. Staff polite.

In need of an upgrade, buildings plus facilities. Linen worn out. Bathroom clean, but barely adequate. I arrived about 1.30pm, & the office was unattended. Wifi available, but pw required - a bit old fashioned. Dining room didn't appear to be operational.

We pay for a Disable room and I m in a wheelchair and can not use the bathroom all get in the room without help

The owner was friendly

I was a little disappointed about the bathroom area, there was no exhaust fan witch made the bathroom steam up, there was only a small ventilation but wasn't enough for the steam to clear. The smoke alarm was faulty as it kept beeping every 1 minute witch was disturbing.

Generally fine. We just used it as an overnight stay before moving on. Quiet town - not many options for eating out.

Great location, easy to walk in to town. Parking is off street in an internal area, so safe for our motorbikes. The room was very comfortable and the shower in the renovated bathroom had good pressure. The motel is located across the road from the lake which is great to walk around. I would recommend staying here.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. The motel met all my expectations.

El cheapo toilet paper dispensed from device more suitable in a public toilet. Really?

The motel room was quite satisfactory overall. Room had most items I would expect in a motel of this type. Bed was comfortable and clean. Plenty of room for belongings. Location opposite the lake was nice and was within a reasonable walking distance of the town centre. We had a trailer and were able to unhitch and park it within the motel area off street and out of sight of the highway.

1. Kitchenette: No bowls provided. Tea towel provided but no detergent, scourer, or Chux dishcloth.2. Bathroom: Modern, open sided shower could lead to water over most of the floor. No exhaust fan - small bathroom steams up quickly.3. One wall light not working (bulb fail? - housekeeping should inspect these things as a matter of course).4. Information folder was WAY out of date & needs updating (e.g. not sure if the owners "welcome page" is from the current owners; Tuppal Hotel is closed; etc).5. A number of tradesmen contractors with some working shifts, with vehicles backing up, with reversing "beeps", at 3 AM meant there was some noticeable noise during the night - however, I also accept that this goes with the territory and simply make this as an observation that intending residents should be aware of.

The room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. Well worth the money. Staff were very nice and happy to help with whatever we needed.
