food standard has gone down to unacceptable. Bar is a shadow of its former self. Staff do not connect with patrons. Come back Hotel employee!

It was in a convenient position and great being next to the lovely Botanical Gardens.

A small criticism is that the water in the shower splashed onto the floor outside of the shower recess. The toilet holder was positioned in a very awkward place. It could have been placed vertical and moved closer to the shower glass.

check in was very easy and coded entry to room was simple. Room was very good and bed was very comfortable. Room facilities were very good wit5h coffee and biscuits on hand. The Botanical is very short walking distance to supermarkets, shops and restaurants and cafes. Also opposite the wonderful Botanic Gardens.

Location was perfect. Cleanliness was very good.

Bed comfort was OK. Mattress was a bit hard.

It was clean, the shower pressure was amazing and the water very warm. There was a microwave, plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and creamer. The fridge was great, the AC worked beautifully and the beds were very comfortable! It was also great there were so many additional bedding items like blankets and pillows. It was centrally located and waking distance to everything in Hamilton and an hour to Halls Gap! Also, I left my expensive pillow in the room. All I had to do was call and let reception know and 24 hours later my pillow is on its way here and I have a tracking number. Thank you so much for all your help! My friend and I will be staying here again when we return to Hamilton!

Location was good

Rooms weren’t clean at all. Poo spatter in the toilet, carpets not vacuumed, toilet stunk of urine, fingers prints on the mirrors, beds were hard and the air con wasn’t working properly. When we got there the cleaners just been in there ?

We have stayed here many times over the years and the rooms are large (king room), location is close to the centre of Hamilton and easy walking distance to Woolworths Supermarket, bottle shops and restaurants, hotels and cafes.

The external appearance of the gardens and public areas needs attention. The gardens, planters and pots are all overgrown or uncared for giving an overall appearance of lack of detail for me.

Excellent service in the restaurant. We were the only people there and we arrived late, but a very good meal was served quickly and efficiently.

I booked on the understanding that breakfast would be included in the tariff. However, we arrived to discover that the restaurant wouold be closed the following day and no breakfast would be available.

Close to shops right in town

Had to look for staff there was t always someone at reception .also needed to ask for payers cutlery and wine hoasses as they weren’t provided

Terrible shower, no water pressure and very small.

Good location, decent price but the bed was to firm and sound proofing could be better. Would not stay for more than one night.

Friendly staff, nice rooms and comfy bed. Also perfect location with the Main Street around the corner and Botanical gardens across the road, good for a stroll around the CBD of Hamilton

Nothing, owners couldn’t care less about this property. It’s a disgrace.

No maintenance, no staff, reception closed to avoid complaints. Dirty, overgrown gardens, putrid carpet, smelt foul.

The manager has been fantastic. Had to shift the date of my booking. Simple phone call and it was looked after.Rooms are large and comfortable, clean good mattress.

It's is also very well located in the heart of Hamilton. Easy walk to restaurants etc.

Great location. Good size room. Comfortable bed.

No crockery or cutlery. Why provide a microwave if you don’t provide crockery. Staff at reception was not friendly.

Disappointing

Note on reception to say closed you need to call a number.. then someone appeared and just said you are in room xx the key is in the room and that was it. Restaurant was shut. Doors didn't seem very secure. Would not recommend
